Don't be surprised their social media/marketing team does it in his name . . .

So will IPhone4S work with Mobi? Anyone know?

Looks like it won't work

not true.

you can email him yourself

dave@mobilicity.ca

or even call him.

I will not toss out his number here, but his tweets, he answers HIMSELF.

his emails, HIMSELF.

Im happy to have switched to this company with a pretty transparent CEO.

MVP Electronics
807 Carnarvon Street
New Westminster
778-397-7100
604-725-6580

It's not a Mobilicity store but an authorized dealer; it's a Korean computer store of some sort. But they had the lowest price in town as far as I'm concerned. $239.99 for the Panache. It was very convenient to get there, like a one minute walk from the New Westminster skytrain station.

Here's a link to their craigslist ad:
Mobilicity Last Minute Sale Visit MVP Electronics

such a bullshit store, went there to try to activate, looked so shady lol. when i asked for the Panache for 239.99 they stated they were sold out and tried to hook me into a different phone, like wtf would i want a 99 dollar spice when i came for the 300 dollar phone. :heckno:

anyways, followed the suggestions on the forums and went to the 1st and commercial store, got a nexus S instead at a discounted price. :spin::spin:

Actual Store, professional staff who actually knew and were engaged in what they were talking about. Great experience.

I'll be honest I didn't keep track, but it wasn't like i was having hour long back and forth conversations since I was on holidays...

But it's more like periodically whatsapping the gf telling her about the giant cookie I ate, and sending her a picture... and asking her how her day was, telling her a bit about what's going on... then signing out to get back to vacation...

then hour or two later random messages here and there...

very casual use is all I can describe it as... I didn't feel the need to hold back when I felt like I wanted to message someone back in vancouver since I knew it was pretty cheap.

After that trip, when I went to seattle again, I was tempted to just leave my mobile roaming on but with background sync off for all programs except whatsapp... This way i don't have to keep toggling roaming data on and off... but my girlfriend convinced me out of it, just in case it ended up draining my Mywallet account.

So I stuck with just turning on roaming data when needed, and turning it off when done.

So i'm with wind right now and this mobilicity plan is tempting me because its life time guaranteed instead of just a year. Anyone that used Wind before notice a huge difference in coverage and what not? I live in the richmond area.

FerrariEnzo 10-05-2011 04:51 AM

data is slow... you have been warned...

reception is decent in most of richmond.... my house, near queensborough is not very good

i'm hoping they will fix it and it's only due to an influx of new/recent subscribers b/c of their awesome promo

Mobilicity offering free Butterball turkey to new subscribers

Mobilicity has come out with another wild promo – one that will feed your belly. They’ve opted to forgo the usual handset discounts and decided to give new subscribers a free turkey (definitely not targeting the vegetarian crowd). To score this Butterball you’ll need to sign up on their $40/month unlimited talk, text and data plan.

On a generous note, Mobilicity has also decided to give back to the community this Thanksgiving by donating turkeys to several community shelters in Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver. Anthony Booth, Mobilicity Chief Customer Officer, stated that “We have a lot to be thankful for… We want to express our thanks to the growing number of Canadians who continue to make Mobilicity their mobile carrier and we want give back to the community and ensure others have a happy Thanksgiving.”

Who’s in for the Butterball?

lol

ya it looked kinda shady when i went there too lol. i had to circle that corner area a few times before i walked in cause i thought it was a corner store.

anyways, no complaints from me. service was not that important to me cause i did all my research already and i got a good price for the phone. sorry it didn't work out for you though.

Alphamale 10-06-2011 01:02 AM

AVS_Racing 10-06-2011 10:01 AM

So what is the discounted price for the panche? Nexus s? Is it on new activations only? Does this mean they are clearing out their old stock for new phones?

The Commercial location has the lowest price for the Panache now.
Mobilicity Promotions + Sales Event

$239.99 is the lowest I've seen.

604Sparda 10-06-2011 01:34 PM

^ Good price, would it be normal retail price if you just want to buy the phone with no activation? (I am already with Mobi)

stereo12 10-06-2011 02:17 PM

probably not but im sure they can work something off the $499. or $299(activation) price.

I was referring to the store on 1st and commercial specifically since they have lowest price of them all.
