But that's just me. I see big things for these guys since Rogers is complete bullshit whereas these guys will be the way of the future (hopefully). Looking into euro/asian markets, you never see contracts or ridiculous plan rates and if we're moving towards that, I see mobi doing very well. I actually wanted to invest with them earlier but they were privately funded and so no stock option. |
 |
Fuck I think il just pick up a nexus S since I played with the amaze today and I really can't get used to the weird back cover design, and over all the phone looks so dated :okay: |
|
hm............ actually how do you like your s2x?? cuz I might go that route instead, I played with the phone yesterday and I like the feel of it. I was going to wait for the white version but the stupid T Mobile logo is pissing me off, anyone know if telus will end up with a white version or should I just pick up a black. |
well i have a Tmob GS2 one (same phone). the logo i don't even notice. however with the lack of a physical home button it helps to figure out which end is up. I'll bet with a little jewelers polish, the logo could be buffed right off. however i really like the white one. http://www.androidfreeze.com/wp-cont...cket_white.jpghttp://cdn.slashgear.com/wp-content/...t1-576x500.jpg this thing is like sex. |
^^ any idea where I can find one? its been released I think but non has popped up on ebay |
i find the white turns a little yellow after a while..at least thats the case for my bell version s2 |
 lol how does that happen |
^oh i have a case on all the time...but i find the front of the phone is a diff colour from the back when i take the case off... so either my screen pro is off colour or the phone changes colour over time..just like how car paint does lol |

:fuuuuu: I can't decide if I should wait for a white one or just pick up a non branded telus one. My last few phones have been black and I want to switch things up but :yuno: unbranded white version |
wondering how the reception for mobilicity is for areas like east van (rupert/grandview area) and um.... near bcit(waybourne/canada way area)? |

BCIT, I get mostly full bars, maybe missing a bar or two every once in a while. |
any dropped calls or anything of that sort? tempted to switch over but worried about reliability. any ideas on reception around queen elizabeth park area? |
I think this may be phone related, or not, (Nokia N8), but I'll share an issue I've had for months. Whenever my phone is in my pocket, after the first ring the call goes straight to voicemail. Whenever I'm driving, after the first ring, same issue. This is a recurring issue, but this doesn't always happen. Related to dropped calls.... nothing of that sort. I got more dropped calls from Rogers than I do now with Mobi. Mobi has done a really good job around the Killarney area. I remember last year around Moberly Elementary and Killarney Secondary I'd be in a dead zone. Last week I was at a friend's house (which was a dead zone last year last Christmas) and had full bars. |

also keep in mind that even tho reception outside of the restaurant is good it may not be good at all inside. i had to switch my mom away from it because she'd try to call me but would have no reception when shes home. |
does caller id not work for anyone? i'm still getting names such as "british columbia" and i called in for them to double check if i had caller id. they said yes and even resetted my network connection to my phone? caller id still doesn't work. does anyone else have the same problem? |
Caller ID is working for me.. What phone are you using? Have you tried to resetting that as well? By resetting, I mean a factory reset and not rebooting/restarting. |
If i want to port over the number im using but it isnt under my name , do i need to bring the rightful owner? |
^^ you can just call it in. as long as you know their info like old account number and tel # its usually ok. |
