Like Turbo-E mentioned, all you really need is the account # and the phone number.

so heres my roaming experience with moblicity I was in eastern BC, Alberta for a few days and I DIDN'T get any reception where moblicity said there would be roaming on their coverage map. I tried to search for network but every time I see Canadian roaming but it would say sim cannot connect to network or something like that when i tried to connect to the Canadian roaming network . I finally was able to get back into the moblicity network in Calgary and Edmonton, but I had to manually connect to it, doesn't connect automatically for some reason and reception was pretty spotty. So basically I didn't get to use any of the money I put in my wallet cuz i couldnt get into roaming for some reason

Anyone know how to use MYwallet to pay for my monthly bill? Is that even possible? I can't seem to find that option....

n/m, found out that you have to call in for the 1st time before you can transfer funds and apparently you don't need to call in again after that.

n/m again, apparently for some people (like me) it wasn't possible before but now you can just click on "Trasfer funds" and the rest is history.

FYI, I think I'm gonna port out of Mobi sometime in the next year as I find it takes much too long to find service in an area that gets full bars and although the BTS is a great plan...I'd like to have a little bit better coverage.

That actually can be a phone related issue.

I did this to my Nexus S where it is WCDMA only. In this setting, you only only make calls/texts when on Mobilicity but not on Rogers or anyone else.

I just switched over to mobi last week and I have been getting coverage issues everywhere around the lower mainland. Vancouver, New West, Richmond, Surrey. I would get 0 bars and "no service" on my phone.

Also, I'm not too sure if it's a phone issue but there are times my phone would say "unregistered sim."

The price for the plans are unbeatable but fuck, what good is the plan if I can't even use it?

Do you have the nexus s?

If you do, go to your dial screen and type

*#*#4636#*#*

Then go to Phone Information

Then scroll all the way to the bottom where you'll see "Set preferred network type"

Select whatever you want

After you've done this, you'll need to reset your SMSC just below it.

in the SMSC box, type 07916174080001F6

Press update, go back, restart the phone and you're good to go.

Since its for business, don't bother... If you are able to do so, port your number over to fido and get their unlimited city fido plan.

I switched over to wind's Holiday Miracle plan on Satuday. I just couldn't deal with the reception anymore when i NEEDED it. Mobi is great out in the open, while driving, but when I need it most, it failed me. For example, inside Metrotown mall. Its just too unstable. As soon as Wind had the same deal (contract though) I opted for a new phone and gave wind a chance.

So far, my Optimus 2x is way faster than my HTC panache. Reception wise, WAY WAY SUPERIOR to mobi. Even at underground parking at the mall, I still have reception 24/7.

Funny, and true story: While my GF and I were at wind in Crystal Mall trying to call in to get our Account number, the Customer service lady would not give my GF her account number. I think she over heard all the buzz in the background, guessing we were trying to port over. WHILE, I walked over to Mobilicity INSIDE crystal mall, which was only a few stores over, and they didnt even have reception there! How do you sell contracts/phones there, and not have reception. Maybe just me.....

S2X should have the same thing.

What I posted should work. But then again, if it is just factory unlocked, then you won't need to do anything.
