Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

My HTC Panache is taking a massive shit right now. Was working fine all day, turned it off when I went to work, turned it back on when I got home, and it froze while I was replying text messages..

So I just held the power button but no force shutdown screen appeared. Took out the battery, put it back in, powered up. Same thing, would freeze after loading.

Now it's just cycling through the splash screen/mobilicity... tried to factory reset, and it still does the same.

Anyone?

Psykopathik 01-09-2012 10:14 AM

$50 Port in Credit starts today

ALL other deals are dead.

i hard reset it 3 times, works now.

I reinstalled Go Launcher and it would cause it to go through the same shit..so I'm just using the HTC Sense.

Seems a lot of people are getting this problem as well, 4 months~ or so.. faulty memory chip or so they think?

willystyle 01-09-2012 01:52 PM

The HTC Panache was a POS phone to begin with. Mobilicity's variant has a bad memory chip built-in. Should've gotten the Nexus S instead.

CRS 01-09-2012 02:21 PM

Yeahhh Panache... Yeahhh

so can you guys take the phones back for warranty? good thing I didn't buy a panache

What_the? 01-09-2012 10:09 PM

I bought a panache, and so far so good, no complaints for me :D

Reception has been totally fine for me, for the main places I usually am at. The odd place I don't get great reception I won't usually be there for very long anyways

Psykopathik 01-10-2012 07:14 AM

ooh something big is coming...

just not for sale at Mobi ;)

Luckily I only used it for a few months so yeah. I didnt buy warranty cuz I thought it would be fine and Ive bought it on my old phone and it was a waste of money.

if anyone missed out on the old 50% off deal let me know. i bought two plans for personal reasons and i have it up for takeover if you pay a small fee.

right now its on the 12.50$ plan but on the billing date (27th) you can change it to any plan you want.

if im not allowed to post this on rs any mod can edit my post but it would be at the other parties advantage if they take over since the deal is over. if no one takes it then it doesnt matter since i only paid for 2 months but i can still reactivate the plan for another 12 months.

Fire up the Rumor mill again...

Next iPhone chipset will support AWS, says T-Mobile CMO | MobileSyrup.com

Quote:

There has been rumours in the past that Apple has been considering developing an iPhone that is AWS compatible – unfortunately it’s never surfaced. Special thanks today goes out to Neville Ray, CTO of T-Mobile USA, for resurrecting the rumour by saying that he’s seen Apple’s next chipset and that it could bring the “revolutionary” device to their network. According to a report in CNET, Ray stated that “The next chipset will support AWS. The challenge that existed in the past will go away”. Of course, nothing is final and Ray noted that it’s up to Apple make the deal happen. For us Canadians, an AWS iPhone would certainly bring good news to Wind Mobile, Mobilicity and Videotron.

I found out that mobility slows down your downloads after 100-150mb. I downloaded a movie from my phone to make use of the unlimited data so I have something to watch later on and found that the download speed got pretty slow

the crappy thing is that i rarely use my phone outside my house so i'm always on my own wifi for faster speeds. but when i DO go out and just need to google something or quickly check something online, it's pretty darn slow. wish it was as fast as when i first signed up :(

NSX 01-13-2012 12:55 PM

Careful porting OUT of mobility. Gf did the prepay 55$ DEAL back in september. Prepaid like 400$ something dollars. She decided reception wasn't the best and went to wind. MOBI now says that since she didn't call within 9 days of cancelling, they are keeping her money.

willystyle 01-13-2012 12:58 PM

OP, did you deleted my post?
