f**k mobi charged me for roaming when i was still within its local area. apparently if i lose signal, it goes to roaming and it's my fault. they credited me $10 back so i guess it's better than nothing. i asked him that if i had $0, would i have been charged and he said no. so guys, make sure your wallet balance is $0 and only add money to it if you're traveling elsewhere otherwise you'll randomly lose it in the city.

Why don't you set your phone to WCDMA only?

yameen 02-04-2012 05:13 PM

wow thanks. i did some googling and changed it to wcdma only. i'm a noob so i don't know about these things. wish i found out earlier! as of now though, it has no effect. even if i do roam, they said i won't get charged if i have $0 in my wallet. they said that they don't add it to my balance either...lol

Anyone switch over from an android or otherwise to a BB on the mobilicity network? Is the reception any better?

:lol

I wouldn't beat yourself up about it but at the same time, I wouldn't blame mobi or be mad at them for something I had control over. Besides, if you let mobilicity's CSR know about it, they'll credit you the amount back.

Haven't used data yesterday but whenever I have problems with it, just reset the APNs to default.

i'm on android & my buddy is on a BB. he works out in surrey by guildford and lives in east van. i haven't heard him complain about reception...but then again i don't have many problems being mostly in east van...not sure if that helps

:lol

Dude, you can't expect mobi to keep rolling out with more and more promos and expect them to still be in business.

AVS_Racing 02-26-2012 07:42 PM

:okay: lol I was hoping for a nexus promo or new phones coming out considering I think most people in this thread already have accounts and is on the $25 plan so another port in or BTS isn't much help.

Psykopathik 02-27-2012 08:58 AM

$25 BTS plan back and $100 Port IN starting on the Feb 29th

Simplex123 02-27-2012 09:24 AM

So this is only on the 29th at any location?

Psykopathik 02-27-2012 04:40 PM

I believe so. The port in is active now.

sam0m0 02-28-2012 09:43 AM

the prices on Mobi's page are usually buy outright. Dealers may sell for less if you activate too.
