well if this includes Mobile data, im sure you can switch it for BB data.. prolly best to ask a rep...

Im tempted to switch.. but not for this $25 plan but the $40 one, it has unlimited North America calling, which is the same plan I have with wind.. im just tired of the slow data... the only time I get over 2mb is early fucking morning...
I dont really need North America calling, but always feel that just in case I need to call someone in on the west coast or even to the states, I know im covered..

i go in today all jacked to sign up and the mobilicity servers are down so i can't sign up and sold out of nexus phones

still trying to decide if i should switch to mobi... data speed is pretty important.. im getting around Turbo E speeds the last few days, which is better then a few months ago...

i signed up already and i believe i enrolled in prepaid but the rep never mentioned anything about a $20 credit. Did i get screwed out of it or did miss something here?

thanks i just did. appearantly it's a CSR promo, the local stores can't give you that credit so i had to call in and remove the CC info and have the csr put it in again. it appears on your account as $10 and $10 to myWallet

i havent really noticed any difference between the 2 providers, so i guess its a good thing..
i went to 3 differnt stores and asked them about the free sim card deal.. none of them will give it..

So i guess i will have to call in

yep. i confirmed that with a rep. free sim for phone purchases. if you aren't buying a phone it's $20 for the card and you have to prepay 1 month

Finally decided to get a plan.

edit: looks like the nexus s is the only phone worthy of getting eh?

I got a txt from mobilicity on yesterday stating the on the 24th they experienced an outage beyond their control (i heard an optic fibre cable was cut) and if you experienced loss of service to call in or email for a $5 credit to myWallet or free 3 months of voicemail. (the rep asked and said i'm getting it whether or not i said yes when she asked if i received loss of signal). it scared me at first cuz i'm right in the heart of east van i was like wtf no signal! i just signed up lol

just an FYI if some of you never got that txt and want the credit.

i'm liking the nexus so far, bought a $2 rubber skin off of DX yesterday. I find it annoying sometimes the location of the lock/unlock on the side though, and with no hard home button when i take it out of my pocket i seem to always have it upside down. other than that it kicks all sorts of ass over my N97

or HTC Panache. btw Newegg has a bunch of AWS phones (shitty cheap ones) if you dont wanna blow a wad on super phone just yet.

BTW Mobi gave me a $5 credit for emailing them about the outage 2 days ago. goto their page and click the email option.

Just got the credit, good customer service. Now I can make calls from the U.S. for free as well. :woot2:

im deciding if i should go for the $29 1 year wind plan (get better phone for cheap but have to pay $45 later) or go buy a shittier phone from mobilicity to test out cuz they got no wind TAB

I went with the free voicemail for 3 months.. haha it was worth more then the $5... but i dont really use it.. so i think i should have gotten the $5...

my review so far after 1 week:

realized in richmond coverage stops at steveston (i work 2 blocks south) :fuuuuu:

while at night market reception was ok when i got there but data subsequently died the rest of the evening when i was trying to msn my friend his whereabouts :fuuuuu:

in my home in east van (kingsway/rupert area) the coverage is working i'd say 80% of the time. last few days data and cell coverage has gone out completely, not sure if it's b/c of their outage or what. on average it's been 2 bars, though i've gotten 3 a few times and rarely 4.

i guess it is something you expect when signing with a company like this, you get what you pay for. overall i'm still happy b/c i use my phone so rarely. but data crapping out sucks. i should check if there's an app that can switch to wifi when data craps out and turns off wifi when data is back on. overall i'm happy b/c i expect weaker coverage than with the big 3, especially at the price i'm paying for. i got the $25 unlimited plan on a nexus s

PS there's a mobilicity in station square next to future shop (on the right if you're facing the store)

Ughs I don't know if I should get this since I will be up at sfu, does anyone know if the spice or e73 can tether? I don't want to drop 400 on a phone and cancel in a month

you could always buy a pay as you go sim for when you're out of range. bandaid fix till more towers get built.but its highly doubtful this promo will ever come back.

I just cancelled my Rogers plan that i had for 12 years. the retentions guy asked if there was anything they could do to keep me as a customer. I said match the Mobilicity $25 promo and gave him the details. He put me on hold and then when he came back, offered me a $57 dollar plan.

I was paying $31 AFTER tax already, and you want to keep me as a customer BY PAYING YOU TWICE AS MUCH???

ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MIND?!!

he then said honestly Rogers wont be able to offer me anything even close to Mobi.

Needless to say, i ate the $200 ECF and walked away a happy man.
