it is back
Mobilicity bringing back Employee Pricing offer, gives unlimited everything for $35/month | MobileSyrup.com

Simplex123 02-29-2012 10:09 AM

So how long is the $35 FnF plan gonna last? Longer than the BTS? Cuz I won't be able to port my number till mid March
Posted via RS Mobile

Edit: Do you guys think that dealers will be able to extend the $100 port in?

Teh Doucher 02-29-2012 11:53 AM

Damn that $35 plan is pretty good. Just wish that mobi's service wasn't shitty...

CRS 02-29-2012 12:03 PM

Somebody want to confirm FnF at the corporate location in vancouver?

Its on Cambie and West Broadway.

I think it is 530 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1E9.

ShadowBun 02-29-2012 12:58 PM

its there. but apparently you need to give the name of someone who works with mobilicity to get it. thats what they said.
only place we can get it is at the West Broadway location.

and the 100 port in... doesnt apply to FnF plan, at least thats what I've been hearing

Psykopathik 03-01-2012 08:18 AM

$100 port in promo is dead.

So anyone on Mobi that can verify how the reception is? I work/live in Surrey and go to Richmond/Van often. I am thinking about trying this out for a month. I have a spare BB9000 lying around, can I just use this phone if it's unlocked?

Are there any initiation fees/starter fees that new customers should be aware of?

Simplex123 03-01-2012 09:10 AM

I live in Richmond and go to school in Surrey Central and was on Mobilicity before. reception was fairly good in both didn't receive any dropped calls at all. You won't be able to use your9000 unless it was from t-mobile. it won't work if it's from Rogers

sam0m0 03-01-2012 09:17 AM

anyone using a BB on the 25 BTS plan? does that include BIS? or would I have to add extra money for it if I switch from android to BB?

Alphamale 03-01-2012 09:55 AM

You gotta add $5 to BTS for BB data on BB phones.

Even if it's unlocked......? Do you have to add 5$ to all the plans if using BB?

Firmware 03-01-2012 12:08 PM

You can , you just won't get 3g or 3g+

JHatta 03-01-2012 01:04 PM

oh........:okay:

Simplex123 03-01-2012 05:41 PM

No you cannot use a Rogers 9000 on Mobilicity AT ALL. Mobilicity runs different bands than Rogers and is 3G only.

What about unlocked 9900?

Its not about unlocking. Its about the BAND/FREQUENCY the phone is set up for.

I'm not sure there exists a penta band BB that allows all providers to use it.

Simplex123 03-01-2012 06:36 PM

^No such thing haha

the $40 plan includes BIS now, limited time!

sam0m0 03-02-2012 08:38 AM

If you don't add BIS, i'm guessing everything still works except for BBM?

stereo12 03-02-2012 09:34 AM

everything still works on a non blackberry yes, but if you choose a blackberry as your device, you must have BIS to have internet/bbm/data working.

sam0m0 03-04-2012 10:56 AM

just gave aberdeen centre mobilicity a call.. apparently they are giving free canada long distance calling if you purchase a smartphone with the BTS plan new activations.

was anyone offered this during christmas when they offered the BTS plan? I don't beleive mine includes it...

Sucks. I get no reception when I'm at home, or whenever I'm in a building. I live in Surrey by the way. Calls seem to lag. It's like having a conversation with someone with a 2 second delay. Whenever I turn my phone off, and back on, it takes like 10 minutes for my phone to connect back to the mobi net work.

Internet is slow too..its edge speed

CRS 03-04-2012 02:18 PM

That's odd, perhaps things are different in Surrey.

I've really no issues with mobilicity. I'm always in Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond and have not had any issues there. Whether it be in buildings or out in the opening. The only thing is I will drop bars when I go down into a basement/underground.

Subsequently, when I visited north van the other day, there was full bar reception there.

I can see you having issues if you're in south surrey/on the fringe of the coverage area but that should have been made clear to you when you looked at the coverage map.
