Cause if so, I wouldn't mind buying straight up from mobilicity since they usually have pretty good deals on phones.

there are different versions of the note 2. the one wind and Mobi are getting is specifically tuned for AWS. I don't believe they are true pentaband.

Psykopathik 10-10-2012 12:05 PM

wow, that's an awesome deal! I would have gotten it if they didn't have problems with reconnecting whenever it goes off the home network! Hopefully Wind will match and I'll update my plan accordingly

I can't decide between the Grey or a the White version.

Also, does anyone know for sure if the Galaxy Note II for Mobilicity will be penta-band? I would like to be able to use this around the world when I travel.

EDIT: And LTE compatible

Traum 10-12-2012 11:04 AM

^^ Any idea on how much the Note II is gonna be though?

Sushi604 10-12-2012 11:42 AM

Well, as per Craigslist, the International versions people that are selling are going for $750+ (I believe they are non LTE, potentially pentaband)

I would expect that this phone will debut at $699 with a $50 discount at pre-order.

Psykopathik 10-12-2012 01:13 PM

IMO the grey is damn sexy. I will be partaking in that

valent|n0 10-12-2012 01:17 PM

well how long do you plan to say with wind? 3yrs = no tab/wiped clean.

i change phones like 2X a year. so may not be the best for me.

with Mobi its $50 in hand, but you may have to sign on for 2 months or some similar BS.

on that note (heh) Mobi is rolling out the 21 Mbps network by Nov apparently. Stewart Lyons tweeted a pic of his speedtest hitting 7Mbps down.

GLOW 10-15-2012 08:56 AM

...i'll believe it when i see it...on my own phone :lawl:

yameen 10-15-2012 03:21 PM

and i just left mobilicity for wind. was paying $26 tax included for mobi and $31 tax included for wind. so far i'm happy with the switch tho.

rich80 10-21-2012 07:48 PM

Looks like Mobilicity has a $100 port in credit till the of the month. $10 off 10 months

I think im going to switch my mom over from mobi to wind. She's barely using her phone and with wind, they have the pay as you go for 20c/minute. free incoming calls. She uses the phone only to call out or gets her friend to call her. She doesnt talk long over the cell cause she's afraid of radiation.

Worth it ?

i used to be like that. didn't get my first cell until like 2004 :lawl:
but then i worked in a company for several years in a lab making phones i'm sure i've been bombarded by more waves people encounter in a lifetime :lawl:

i'm sure coffee or booze will have worse effects on me than the waves

if they actually up their speeds i wouldn't mind getting reduced speeds after 6gb...you gotta be streaming a lot of pr0n to exceed that cap :lawl:

AVS_Racing 10-30-2012 11:17 PM

:suspicious: so you have to pay extra to get 4g speeds, btw is anyones internet laggy as hell these few days, I have like 3 bars to full reception and its slow as fuck, sometimes won't even load, and fb doesn't work :fuuuuu:

rexsomnii 10-30-2012 11:31 PM

Lol I think when I mentioned radiation, it was the key things you guys were talking about. But lets just say she doesn't use the phone much in general so overall the pay as you go with wind offers unlimited incoming calls and
20 cents a minute if you keep the "service life" up.. meaning you account topped up.

Wow, I am so glad that I am on WIND. How can you charge users an extra $20/month to get 4G speed?

That's like when Rogers charged an additional fee on top of their existing data plan initally for their LTE release, when Bell and Telus did not. That's didn't very fair well for them.
