^ Hopefully it's good! My sister decided to go with the 50% off plan at Mobilicity, and she's not liking the reception so we decided to switch (I was Telus). I attend SFU, so hopefully it's not an issue..got an upgrade to my phone though :fullofwin: |
How long was she with mobilicity for before she switched and where was she using it mostly? Posted via RS Mobile |
For like a week lol She was complaining about how phone calls are always very choppy. For those who go to SFU.. Went up to SFU today, although I only had 2 classes. Didn't really have the chance to check out the reception and what not, but noticed I had little to no signal in classrooms including the 9001 (text sent failed 2-3 times before it worked). Hallways seemed fine though. |
^ 9001's always been horrible. Next to no wifi in there. How were the other rooms / your past few weeks of experience? |
I heard mobilicity moved to 4g 21mbps? Anyone have the speedtest for that plan? Anyone using their 20gb/month data stick? |

I cannot advise going with Mobi anymore, unless you are a super cheap guy and promise not to complain about their service here. you get what you pay for. For only a few bucks more, Wind, is a way better choice. |
If WIND offered a monthly plan including VM for $30 under with UL data and US text/MMS, I'm switching. The data speed for Mobi is unusable. I can't even get a perfect radio stream without having to stutter every 1-2 minutes. Something to keep in mind. Posted via RS Mobile |

for the odd call, texting and whatsapp it does the job. i won't be streaming any movies on my phone that's for sure. but i only use my phone on weekends as my work phone is on rogers |
considering their $30 plans start today, i find it hard to believe anyone cannot afford to try wind. http://www.windmobile.ca/en/Pages/vo...utmk=146360372 |

Mobilicity is getting auctioned off on December. No point in joining them. Mobilicity puts plan C in motion and prepares to auction itself off | MobileSyrup.com |

I'd say the market at the time (when Fido got bought up) was quite different than how things are now. Back then, the big players didn't really have a budget wireless line like they do now, so Fido was probably more valuable to Rogers at the time than Mobilicity is to whoever that might end up buying them. Additionally, with the repeated rejection of Telus' buyout proposal, it seems to me that Mobilicity might more likely have its different pieces auctioned off to different buyers. But we'll see how things turn out in a few weeks' time... |

That was back in February I posted that. lol $30 local WIND, text to Canada/US, VM, data, WIND's done it before. Not sure if VM was included. Speaking now, I'm sure that won't happen. |
They don't have vm will the $30 package now. But I'm getting that anyway Posted via RS Mobile |
VM is pretty useless, IMO.. unless you use it for business... I dnt even leave VM anymore and neither to my friends... lol... I still holding onto my Oh Canada plan.. $29 unlimited canada wide calling and unlimited of their limited data! |
