I'll wait around and see what Chat-R offers me with their "comparable" plans. I don't see how WIND is any better than Chat-R. Their price and value are very comparable, but Chat-R has a much better network than WIND, both in greater coverage and a faster and more reliable network. If Chat-R offered me a similar plan than what WIND can offer me. I don't see why I would switch to the latter. I don't care about the pre-paid/post-paid model. |
I don't see myself switching over to WIND even after the transfer. I've had my fun with Mobilicity. Depends how "comparable" those plans will be from Chatr. |
I've noticed and this is just me. that wind has crappier signal where I've had no problems with mobilicity. and I think the price of wind's plans aren't even cheap anymore |
i have buddies who have the mobility unlimited data thing he streamed music off his phone on a radio application with zero lag in the car and looked decent. I have the samsung s5 for virgin / bell. Planning to switch if the unlimited data is pretty decent but with the purchase from Rogers, what will happen in the future? Anyone have experience with the new promo? |

just talked with virgin mobile to see if they can offer me any deals with their loyalty department offered me $5.00 off the $95 5gb BYODevice plan ( IS THIS A FUCKING JOKE LOL...) and screamed my ass off. switching to mobilicity veryu shortly SUCH A FUCKING JOKE LOL |
@Verdasco Rogers to shutter Mobilicity, move customers to Chatr - Business - CBC News Almost a year after buying it for $465 million, Rogers will pull the plug on Mobilicity and move all of the discount wireless company's 154,000 customers to its own discount brand, Chatr. |

They do this because people still pay even after they complain. Try getting an ultra cheap plan without data so you dont have to shout / curse... But i know it and these conpanies know it, you'll never do it |

Knowing Robbers...unlikely the same. Like right now they have $40 Unlimited @ 1GB fair usage at 3Mbps then down to 0.64Mbps after that. |

This is actually good if they are planning to match something similar.... |
edit: double post |
The current Mobilicity plans will NOT be grandfathered. Chat-R had indicated that a "comparable" plan will be offered as it draws near, whether these will be "comparable" remains to be seen. |
as always they will say nothing will change, but eventually it will all change. |
That is a shame. I have had my good times with Mobilicity. I guess I will move to my company's corporate Telus plan with better network/service/data speed soon. |

I'm with Mobilicity paying a really good 33.60/mo for my calling and data and texting and voicemail. Any other competitor would be charging me for 45+ and at that price, my corporate telus plan would offer me much better coverage and LTE ~6gb+ data |
Fxxk... so the transfer to Chatr offers came, and it seems to me that Vancouver is not considered to be a zone that has unlimited in-zone data plans. Only Edmonton, Calgary, and GTA are. WTF?! [edit] OK, confirmed with Mobilicity that there will be unlimited data coverage after the transfer: Quote:

So just got my email the other day regarding the Mobilicity & Chatr transfer. heres the comparable plan they offered me via email which is very similiar to the one I currently have with Mobilicity. Plan $30/month Unlimited in-zone Talk, Text & Data Unlimited in-zone Province-wide Talk Unlimited in-zone North American Text/MMS 6 GB at 3G speed International Talk Saver Voicemail and u have to provide your mobilicity number and pin. U also get a 10$ bonus credit added to your account whenever the switch happens which is during this upcoming fall (september). Sweet deal IMO, hoping the data network speeds improve, mobilicity data can be lacking at times. |
that plan was offered to me for slightly cheaper http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...psuhefue3g.png |
