just make sure you get service before you port over.. like maybe try out the service for 1 month with a cheapo phone.. which isnt a big loss if you end up not liking it.. if you do like it, you can port over.. |
For the $299 HTC Panache, do you have to activate a new account and plan with them in order for it to be 299? I was told its $499 regular price without a plan |
Got my HTC yesterday. So far, so good. Burnaby, metro town area, 2nd narrows bridge, North vancouver, very good bars. The sales people in the store "told" me that tomorrow is the last day. |

i was with Rogers for 12 years. they countered Mobi's deal with one that was TWICE what i'm currently paying and saying "Honestly, we have nothing" |
Nexus S > Panache? |
Fuck i wanna get this plan but i haven't had a chance to take my dads mobilicity phone upto SFU yet. If it does workout outside at SFU, I was thinking of getting an iphone 4 and using budphone calling app. Then, if there's no signal inside, I can connect to SFU wifi and use SFU wifi to make calls/watsapp people, and once outside, I can just use my network coverage. Would be f-ing sweet if that worked. Hopefully deal is still working tmrw, gonna take my dads phone and test it out, and get the hell outta my $80/month contract. |
Can you roam 2g at SFU for 20cents/min? |

Yes. As another option, I'm wondering if you can roam in a mobilicity dead spot if you wanna receive calls. |

just got the back to school plan and some motorola spice phone. I live in surrey and so far the reception/data is pretty fast and clear. Btw guys if you have time call around because the phones are all priced differently at different locations. I saw the panache 4G at 269$ (website posted at 299$) and nexus s for 319(website posted at 349$) at some locations when i was looking online. Always ask them for the best price and they will give you their "one day special deal" or else they will give you the regular price. does that pre-paid method on the phone still apply? 10$ for 2 months? i went to the store and asked but they said they didn't know. |
