WEEK 9 - SUNDAY OCTOBER 9 TO SUNDAY OCTOBER 16


Challenge: dips. as many as you can in a row
rules: do as many dips as you can in a row without stopping.
do not use any cheating motion to help like kicking or swinging your legs.
must go to full dip extension extension.
why?: because Phozy said so.


this is strictly for fun, so use your own honor and dont cheat.

IMO we should try doing other things that we don't normally do all the time, to really test your STRENGTH as opposed to just testing your TRAINING. Maybe next time!

If I don't get near 20 I'm going to be pissed. I usually do 7 with a 45 on my waist then take it off and immediately do another 6-8 depending on fatigue.... :)

How the fuck is that strength? That's more like coordination and stupidity. Reminds me of those retards I see doing bench press with their back on the ball and one foot in the air one arm at a time.

Sorry, i couldnt think of anything good that we can rule out who wins.
Was thinking weight class, so 100-150,150-200,200-250, but meh, too many factors to how strong you are. Then again, it is for fun :)

Did it at the end of my workout chest workout, and managed to rep out 22 @ 148-150lb
Can definitely do more, will try again on Friday

Do you mean dips using two benches or between beams? They work the same but feel different. Between beams I did 25 deep (elbows to about 100-110 degrees), and I weigh 205lbs. Wasn't a tricep day though so if warmed up I could probably do more.

EDIT - Nevermind, just saw Phozy's post :crazy2:

Well apparently you're not the only one!

In all seriousness, I think hand walkouts would be a good one. Not the pussy ones where you go into a pushup position, but the hardcore ones where you extend your arms all the way out to form a plank on your toes. A good challenge would be to see how long it takes to do 20 reps. You can rest as many times as you want, but that will kill your time! And I bet some people will never be able to hit 20
