- S4 N/A 6 port block -- taken apart and rebuilt with new apex seals, water jackets, corner and side seals, oil control rings, etc.
- Literally everything in the engine bay is painted. Rotor housings, all parts, etc to match the silver/black theme
- 130 Amp alternator upgrade. New brush set installed in the alt as well.
- New braided oil cooler lines from Greenline Hose & Fittings.
- New power steering lines from the rack to the pump
- New water pump, thermostat and radiator cap
- 3 Brand new belts for alt, air pump, and water pump respectively
- New clutch slave cylinder as well as line
- Oil changed at 400km after the rebuild, then in 2000km intervals since. Just changed on July 11, 2011
- Motor has been run with TW3 premix 2 stroke oil. The OMP has been left intact as well.
- Brand new TPS sensor
- All grounds redone, as well as grounds run to the boost sensor and a re-grounding of the ECU
Transmission, Brakes, Driveshaft
- The transmission was rebuilt when I bought the car. You can still see the gasket between the sealing surfaces shining through new.
- Recently switched out the gear oil inside with Redline MT90. Smooth shifts all the way through.
- The limited slip differential also received the same Redline oil treatment.
- 4 pot disc brakes 60-70% left on the pads. The front discs were machined when I got the car going.
- Painted red brake calipers
Body
- Vanquish Style full body kit made by "Monkey" in Australia.
- Tinted Hatch to hide the subwoofer and music system
- S5 tail lights
- 17" 114.3 x 5 bolt pattern Gunmetal Konig Black Holes
- Full paintjob. Color is Glacier Frost Mica, used by Lexus. The body was taken down to base factory primer, then coated twice with high build primer wet sanded, then 2 coats of base sprayed and 4 pearl coats on top. The pearl is white and blue pearls. In certain light the edges and curves of the car seem to glow blue. Its hard to explain or show in pictures you'll have to see it
Interior
- Full sound system. 6 inch JBL speakers in the back. 4 inch in the front. Mounted in stock locations. Clean look
- 10 inch low profile Pioneer sub woofer
- JVC deck with auxiliary input. Cord included. You can plug in ipods, cellphones, etc.
- Phoenix Gold amp In the back bins
- 1 vacuum gauge and 1 oil temp gauge. The oil temp isn't hooked up, but I have the sensor and wiring if you'd like to hook it up.
- Brand new leather seats. The driver's seat is secured, but the passenger's is held on by 1 bolt essentially. I rarely have passengers in the car so I never took the time. It doesn't move around or anything of that nature, but would be wise to bolt it down in 2 spots atleast. Otherwise fully functional, move back and forth etc.
I literally have receipts for everything I've stated that's been done to the car. Just adding up the numbers on the slips I have, it totals out to 4512.21 $.
The engine rebuild was done properly and isn't some mystery rebuild of unknown KMs. I have the old rotor housings, apex seals, oil rings, etc if you should want to see them. As well videos, of the engine being spun by hand on the stand after the rebuild.
If interested id be more than willing to do a compression test for you or just pull the plugs and you can hear the even compression pulses.
Regularly maintained, new plugs, wires, and o2 sensor done when it passed aircare.
2 things that could potentially need work.
The rear quarter panel has the body line slightly misaligned ( pic attached to see what I mean) . Barely noticeable really and has never bothered me to redo the paint there.
Clutch fluid is slowly mysteriously disappearing. I replaced the line as well as the slave cylinder so the only culprit left is the cyldiner on the firewall.
Other than that the car is solid, and a blast to ride in. I've tried to be as thorough and meticulous as I can in describing the car as well as it's problems.
Attached is a video of photos as well as startup WHEN HOT, which a lot of rx7s seem to have problems with, and the sound of it's idle
ianno why but this reminds me of my old car, same rims but didnt have a body kit and the kid i sold it to blew the engine about 6months after and he was from whiterock...brings back oll memorys
fun car with lots of memories for me for sure . only reason im selling is cause with going to SFU now, I get a U-pass so going to burnaby with skytrain saves me so much money compared to driving.
