Soundproofing Condo

Im about to move into a 30+ storey condo building, but my main concern is that im sharing my living room wall with the neighbors next door. I know me and my friends are gonna have lots of people from time to time and probably will be making lots of noise.

I dont own the place so i was wondering if theres anything i can do to somewhat help soundproof that one wall so i can avoid any future problems with noise complaints.

You can try soundproof drywall but it's pricey (around $40/4x8 sheet, iirc)

There's nothing you can do to effectively sound proof a condo without spending significant amounts of money. Accept that you live in a condo and keep the noise level reasonable.

This.

the condo probably has thick drywall and sound proof insulation already. All you need is one little gap for all the sound to travel through so it's not only living room, you're gonna have to insulate and resilient channel every wall, the ceiling and the floor (which is actually the 29th floor's ceiling) to get true sound proofing.
