| Mark's 40% Off Sale
I thought it was a one day sale, but it goes till September 4th. WeekendEvent_Promo_Coupons
I purchased a few things already.
What's even more impressive is their Buy one, get the second for 70% off promotion. I am like the Imelda Marcos of slippers. I love wearing slippers around the house. All kinds (depending on the mood). Anyway, I was in Mark's ready to use my 40% off coupons when I came across these really nice slippers. Regular $34.95. They were marked as clearance item at $19.95. Another sticker next to it said $14.95. Holy crap. If I buy a second pair, it would be hella good deal. I proceed to checkout and the items scan to be $9.95 with the second ending up being $2.50!!! I pay for my items and I swear, I wanted to yell, "Start the car, start the car............ START THE CAR!!!!!!"........ except, I was the driver, LOL.
This was two days ago. Today, I scored a pair of shorts and cargo pants on clearance. As well, I bought me one of those "Dri Wear" cool socks with the 40% off coupon. When I go, I take an extra coupon with me just in case. You're not supposed to use more than one, but I take it anyway. Sometimes I give the coupon to moms who look like they can use a break. So today was no exception. There was this dude who was trying to get a student discount on a few expensive items. I think he was going to UBC and was taking horticulture or something. Anyway he was asking the manager for a student discount. Manager says, "No such thing." "If you got a discount before, you were lucky, because we're not supposed to do that anymore." The guy was looking pretty sad, so I gave him my extra coupon right in front of the manager. One of his items was an expensive looking leather coveralls or something. I think it was in the $180.00 range. Anyway, he was so relieved. Manager was like, wtf?
I told the dude, it's on-line. You just print the suckers out and boom! 40% off.
Oh, clarification on the buy one get 70% off. It only applies to clearance items, but holy crap, there are some nice things on clearance. So much so that I think Mark's is desperate to get rid of stock. Everything from safety gear and boots to shoes and summer clothes. Most of their camping stuff like lamps, flashlights, and three way powered radios are also on clearance. WeekendEvent_Promo_Coupons |

Mark's has some good work clothes. I like Carhartts, but they're expensive in Canada. Just fyi if you do get Carhartt check out stores like Fred Meyer's in the states. Much cheaper!
I might check out this sale, thanks.

Some Mark's are better than others. The one in Abbotsford has a large selection of stuff, while the one on Bentall (Grandview and Rupert) sucks ass. Surrey is pretty good, too from what I remember.
The Brentwood location is hilarious. The place is small, but per square inch has more shit than most stores, LOL. They have stuff going up to the ceiling and then some.

Nice, thanks for the info, I could use a new pair of carhartt pants for work. I usually go to the one in coquitlam on king edward, I'm not sure if that is one of the larger stores or not. Are there any other locations in burnaby/tri cities that have a better selection? or should I head out to surrey?
Edit:
Just read it doesn't apply to carhartt products, shitty. I'll still check it out tho.

You're right. Just read the small print. Damn you, small print!!!!!
You never know, though. I think the dude I gave the coupon to used it to buy the Carhartts, LOL. Cashier is probably going to get into trouble.
The small print is blurry when you print it out. Hee hee.............
Maybe they were Chinese knock offs, LOLOLOLOL.

Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down.
And I liked to take a minute just sit right there and tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air
In west Philadelphia born and raised on the playground is where I spent most of my days. Chillin out, maxin, relaxing all cool, and all shooting some b-ball outside of the school. When a couple of guys who were up to no good started making trouble in my neighborhood. I got in one lil fight and my mom got scared and said, "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air". I Begged and pleaded with her day after day, but she packed my suitcase and sent me on my way. She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket. I put my walkman on and said I might as well kick it. First class yo this is bad. Drinking orange juice out of a champaine glass
Is this what the people of Bel-Air living like? Hmm this might be alright, but wait, I hear prissy, bourgeois and all that. Is this the type of place they should send this cool cat? I don't think so, I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the prince of Bel-Air Well ah the plain landed and when I came out. There was a dude that looked like a cop standing there with my name out.
I aint trying to get arrested yet I just got here. I sprang with the quickness like lightning dissapeared. I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said FRESH and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I can say this cab was rare, but, I thought naw forget it yo homes to Bel-Air. I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cabby "Yo homes smell ya later". I looked at my kingdom I was finally there. To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air.
OP is butthurt thanks for the fail

So, on my way to the Boulevard Casino, I dropped by the Mark's on King Edward. They had Carhartt jeans on clearance. $39.99. I'm not into jeans, so can't tell you if that is a bargain or not. Anyway, I asked the girl there when the bogo promo was over. She said tomorrow is the last day. I asked at the Abby store yesterday and they had no clue.
BTW, bloodmack, you fail people at the drop of a hat, so it's only fitting. You and your numerous positive contributions on RS............... sheesh.
god bless.

god bless. | The fail button is there to be used.. so I use it. I'm sorry im not like you so old and wise sir. The only reason I failed you was because of the way your mini essay on Marks discounts was so funny in a fail kind of way.

Well, if you go to the store, they have $10.00 off if you purchase more than 50 bucks, cards. On the back of any Mark's receipt, there is a thing for $10.00 off if you buy more than $40.00. Doesn't seem like there are any restrictions.
Also, at around Labour Day or a week or two after, they usually have a 20% off promo. I think there are no restrictions on that sale. Same thing happens on Boxing Week Sale. They even let you combine the promo with the $10.00 off cards. Every time I go to Mark's, I grab a few of those $10.00 off cards 'cause you never know. I remember this shit, because with three growing kids, it was the only way for me to afford clothes and whatnot for them. The things we parents have to go through.
EDIT: found a link to the last store-wide sale in the month of June. Doesn't seem to have any restrictions. http://www.mediaservicesgroup.net/ma...dad_index.html
