which phone I should get from Rogers

Hi guys

I got a Samsung Galaxy S2 from my friend. Since it is near the due date of my hardware upgrade with Rogers, which should I should get from rogers, then resell it to cover my acquisition costs for my SGS2 ?

Should I get the HTC 3D or the LG 3D phone ?

Please kindly advise.

SG2 is still king of all phones. EVO3D is running on old technology and a gimmick 3D which will fade soon.

I will keep my SG2 but need to get a hot phone from Rogers and then re-sell it to cover my costs.

Just search craigslist to see what's popular....

If its all about resale then its always the best to go with the newest thing ... the 9900 (LOL) is probably your best bet for a quick sale since its just came out ...

Rogers will NOT be getting the S2. I'm pretty sure they already have the infuse 4G

It's their own fault for not bringing in an S2 variant to their stable, I'm so disappointed when Bell announced the S2 and Rogers fired back with only the EVO 3D, the EVO is a good phone but not the same level as the S2 ... I've been watching the mobile market for the last 4 months now cause I'm on Rogers and my contract is due in the next couple of days so I'm interested in getting one of these newer Android phones for cheaper, was totally bummed that the S2 is not out for Rogers yet ... even Telus is rumoured to have their variant almost ready now ... Can't say enough of how Rogers totally missed the bus on this particular phone ... or maybe they are too focused on getting the step up on the new iPhone ...

Could be many things really. Maybe Bell paid out a lot more to have exclusivity who knows.

I just went and bought mines outright.

i spoke to another business rep from rogers. not sure how much firm this is, but mentioned that as rogers is releasing LTE network , they might just release a new android to take advantage of that speed

twitchyzero 08-19-2011 11:10 PM

is LTE supposed to be 42mbps? Is there reason why anyone would needs those speeds on the go? Even with HD streaming 5mbps would probably be more than enough..it's not like people are downloading massive files on their phones/tablets

I'm not even sure if it's worth it to get a new berry just to get cash for SGII...so many carriers are offering it dirt cheap/free with contracts
