Would be cool if they could answer questions, basically have a microphone in front of them, person asks a question (where is the exit, where is this terminal, etc.) in any language and it responds in their language

Not sure a 2D display is a real representation of a hologram...

It's cool nevertheless but I wouldn't go as far as saying that it's a hologram.
