Gorilla glass is chemically hardened thus providing more scratch protection.

Galaxy Nexus is supposed to have some glass treatment as well although not gorilla glass. I'm OK with either or since I take great care of my stuff.

Even if you do take care of your stuff, its nice knowing that you have a proven material on there vs. some new type of "fortified" glass

Gorilla glass is just a name Corning uses so everyone thinks there's nothing else like it, but there are other manufacturers who make glass just as strong. Dragontrail is one, who knows what Samsung used but if it's a fortified glass I'd assume it's pretty decent. Posted via RS Mobile |
