Last time I checked, if you rat on your friends, you tend to get your ass beat...let alone going to the media to do it? wow. R8 or not I'm glad I'm not him.
That isn't at all what he's saying...If you read the comments in this thread, you would realize his response was to those people who were saying that these guys should pay MORE fines than the AVERAGE person driving the AVERAGE car for committing the SAME crime...
No where did he say that these people deserve special treatment or exemptions to the law.
Your response my friend, is stupid as you COMPLETELY missed his point. When people suggest that these guys HAVE MORE thus should PAY MORE, he simply stated that they already are...Which in THAT SENSE, he is absolutely right...They already do pay more in car luxury taxes and insurance...So now they should pay MORE for fines when the rest of the public pays a different, lesser fine for doing the same wrong thing??
That is what YOU think he was referring to. Did he say explicitly? The topics in this thread were jumping all over the place, and out of all topics, you chose to deduce the higher fines arguments, back up RennSport, and pin this on me? Ignore everything, because he was speaking generally with no quotes and explicit referrals, and read his comment alone with no other context in mind, then read mine again.
I was referring to his comment specifically. He thought posters here were treating them unfairly and that people should go easier on them with what they've been saying. Special treatment was my point here. Do they not deserve some sort of negative, speculative chatter for what they did?
I agree with Rogue. Licenses should be also based on displacement.
L & N Drivers ---- allowed to drive <2.0 Litres 4 Cylinders
<5 Years driving ---- up to 3.0 Litre 4 Cylinder
6-8 Years driving ---- limited up to 6 cyclinder
8+ Years driving ---- unlimited
Or some something like that...
I would love to see an Audi R8 with a VW 1.8T or a Ferrari with a Fiat 500 engine.
And traffic fines should be based on price of your car... If your driving around in a $100,000+ Car then you should pay more for your fine. eg. $15,000
If you are caught speeding in your Yugo(if you could do the speed limit) your fine would be considerable less.
The fine is to deter you from doing it again. Correct?
Sorry for the RANT... Also the L and N should be larger.
Hell I have 2 Driving teenagers(1 L and 1N) They are allowed to drive sub 2.0l cars in the garage. No way are they driving the V8s. I guess I care about them and the drivers around them. That being said maybe the 13 drivers parents don't give a shit on what their children are doing.

you're a fucking idiot. i don't know how you were able to raise two teenagers with your sense of logic. kids must be fucking retarded as well.
LOL Tego, that is the stupidiest shit I have ever read in this forum , you are worst than bradford chow, get some fucking logic in your head, cause they will never ever let do that in our life time or any life time not even in parallel universe. Posted via RS Mobile
You're stereotyping and making assumptions. I'm not saying that what you're saying may not be the case with these guys...But you don't know them personally and you don't know what they have or what they have not done in their lives. If you're claiming that these kids are taking what they have for granted, I am going to have to assume that either you personally know them or you can read their minds because other than that, you have no way of knowing if they appreciate their toys.
At the end of the day, what people do with their money and what lifestyle people give to their kids is no one else's business but their own. The only matter we have a business in is the safety of our fellow citizens on the roads and the actions that these guys portray in public.
I've seen on a daily basis people driving ERRATICALLY and dangerously without care in shit-box cars and honky trucks...It really doesn't have anything to do with money or class.
+1, couldn't of put it in better words, people just hate cause they wish they were driving those cars Posted via RS Mobile
Just as a FYI, many parts of the world (mainly Europe/Australia) have had displacement/hp restrictions on motorcycles for new riders. It's even being contemplated for BC as well.
md writes, "Who provided these idiots with these cars? They're idiots too! You can't buy respect. Unbelievable, and lucky no one got hurt or killed. Suspensions for all, cars sold. Proceeds to education."
Personally for me its not about "hating on what people have" I couldn't care less if some kid has a Ferrari that his parents bought him because although he did not earn it
Himself, somone in his family did Somthing right at some point that allowed them to get these cars, and good on them for it
My problem is with hongers with N's getting off basically Scott free when your way over the limit on a busy highway during the middle of the day, if those guys who raced up cypress got their cars impounded and sold off, why don't these guys as well? It's basically the same thing cops rolled up on the cypress guys after the fact and took their cars based on heresay
And as for hydes post there "poor people being jealous" I know at least 4-5 people/family friends etc who have 150k+ cars and these people can seemingly drive responsible, take advantage of the full ability of their car, and not make the news..
These hongers just have time on their hands and I'll go out on a limb and make the asumption that none of them including Matt zhang is michael shumacher (sp) if they didn't get caught now it would probably only be a matter of time before one of them was wrapped around a pole, probably for the better. anyway - it'll be interesting to see what impact that guys comments to Global have in this case for the RCMP. I still wonder if there were any video cameras on board or anything.`
lol....these guy let the cops tow theirs cars with no hard evidence against them??
I would give the cops shit if they wanted to tow my car just because "someone" said I was speeding
sounds like a bunch of pussies who can't even stand up and talk back to the cops by themselves

oh wow, that statement is truely stupid. If I really want to be a retard, I can drive my piece of shit 1994 Ford fiesta and still let it rip through the street being a complete danger to others lives and properties. You don't need to hit 200km/h to be dangerous. Your kids with a 2.0L engine can still be reckless. Honestly, I bet any one of these supercars has better safety tech and computers to keep the car stable or even better roll over crash protection than a shit box ford fiesta or hyundai accent that your kids are driving.
Point being that if Matt Z was given a hyundai accent from his parents, his shitty personality and the way he was raised, this would still have happened and you would be reading on the CTV news " Hot import racer"
