LOL spotted photos of him/screenshot of a Facebook comment on a CTV clip/segment following up on the incident |

i agree with the bold statement... |

Now I hope they get some good lawyers and sue for impoundment without evidence. Although I don't usually sound like it here, I generally respect the police. But, Fuck that french pig and his media posturing. |

Sure, they're wealthy. Sure, we want to be like them. But unlike them, most people, to a certain extent, have respect for our public roads. You don't see owners of exotics in their late 40's or 50's doing this type of shit now, do you? You don't see enthusiast boards like REVScene arranging these types of high speed "cruises", do you? So why is it acceptable for them to do it? Because they're rich? When Larry Chu claimed he was doing 200 on a regular basis, the same type of hate was incited towards him; not because his daddy bought him a powder-puff blue S2K, but because he was a retard. I would assume a big number of people "misdirecting" hate in this incident know first hand just how retarded these spoiled kids can get. |

"Not too many of them were in low spirits," Hanney said of the drivers, adding that one asked to have his car, a blue Lamborghini, towed to his home, because he had a trip planned to Los Angeles the next day." On a side note, this made me lol. |
agreed. but did he just throw the others under the bus for the better of himself in the situation.. maybe he got nervous with the whole situation and how it could play out, still doesn't mean anyone was going 200km.. i dunno. im on the fence. |
I don't know why are people targeting their families and what not..... It's the drivers fault not the cars... I have been a rider in a prelude meet and they are just like this.... The driver does the driving and decisions not the car |
So I wonder what people think of these two that just got caught at Cypress? Now we have a police officer witnessing the speeding, a clocked speed on a laser gun (even erring on the low side they were still excessively over the limit), there were two people racing together (so it's an actual street racing incident) and to top it off one guy loses control of his car and the other goes and hides in the bushes to evade capture. Could they have done anything else to guarantee an attempt by the Crown to try to forfeit their vehicles? Or will the "slippery slope" people still claim there isn't enough evidence? These kids have lot of money, the problem with tickets will be solved once their layers step in... I dont think they will learn the lesson |
Some footage of the cruise before being intercepted. |

A simple speeding ticket and street racing charge has yet to be enough to get the BC Civil Forfeiture Office to take over. They take over when there is evidence of public safety being compromised...Not just a potential of it being compromised but it ACTUALLY being compromised. Like in the case of the Ferrari and M6, these guys almost hit 3 different pedestrians. That was a mitigating factor. They had 5 factors compiled before they got BC Civil Forfeiture Office to take over and seize the vehicles. |

A few mysterious calls from untrained individuals who will most likely not testify anyway? |
Another ironic part is that these guys apparently have no regard for other people and do whatever they can for their own enjoyment. They "show" no remorse for what they have done and are smiling about the whole situation, as far as we know. Yet, a 16 page thread here with 1000's of views and 100's of posts on giving these guys more fame... Publicity and fame is still publicity and fame regardless of whether it's negative and/or hating on them. They're in the news all over North America and are probably enjoying there 5 seconds of fame as much as they can. |
All you idiots thinking these guys deserve to have their cars impounded and licenses revoked are just as bad as the commie thinking where these folks come from. I don't think it is correct to broadly tarnish the actions of a few against the entire group, which is what the police have done here. If there are witness reports against a few cars, target those drivers which have been reported. To charge everyone and impound all the vehicles before all the evidence has been collected is an outrage. |

It shouldn't bother me at all when I see some nice exotic car (or even a beamer) with a N sign on the back, but it does. But hey, I'm happy for them, they got all this money and they don't need to work for it. |
aren't these idiots from mm design?? No evidence to pursue more charges against sport car drivers in speeding convoy |
It's the SLS and GTR from MM Design, most of others are SR Posted via RS Mobile |

Just 200kms on one car? Damn. Also I wonder what happened to the Ferrari that was forfeited in the article. |
"We don't have police officers who observed the offence, and we don't have lasers and radars that have the speeds," Gaumont said. "We have to really depend on third-party individuals who had called in." Like I had said several times. Hearsay and untrained witnesses, 3rd-party testimony isn't sufficient for primary evidence. If these guys disputed their charges in a court of law, they would win and be exempt from ALL charges, could possibly even countersue for loss of enjoyment, and degradation of character... I love how this is the first time they called it a "speeding convoy" rather than street racers. |

As I mentioned, this "reasonable evidence" has turned out to be nothing more than a few eyewitness accounts that have yet to be corroborated. It is possible for the police to use these eyewitnesses as evidence against the group or its members, but as it has been reported, eyewitness stories have not been consistent and therefore making them unusable. As for the auction, I believe the car is still in possession of the Provincial Government. It takes a LONG time for a car especially to be auctioned off. I'm not exactly sure why but from the time they post it on their website for auctioning, almost 6 months goes by before it actually goes up for auction. |
