So with no photo or radar evidence, no damage to personal property, police can seize $2 mil worth of personal property.
BUT with 50-100 or so mostly white HA riding their motorbikes reving loud exhaust disturbing traffic - 0 charges, pussy out hiding in their cruisers
BUT with 100+ mostly white cyclists blocking traffic every Friday afternoon rush hour with no due consideration or whatever bullshit NO CHARGES, NO SEIZURES
BUT WITH photo evidence of a young WHITE male with molotov cocktail in hand burning a police car AND a confession - 0 charges laid, $0 personal property seized or held.
Fuck the POLICE! When did rich chinese get treated like Compton blacks?
PS don't speed or u will die
PPS this is a civil liberties issue, not a pro rich boy issue

7seven: I really can't stand all these idiots who hit the gym now just because they watched 300 and want to be like a spartan. Case in point, this skinny guy comes into the gym the other day, must have only weighed ~ 140lbs, loads on 2 plates on the bench rack, mutters to himself, for sparta, unracks the barbell and proceeds to drop it directly on his chest.

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't most of those superexotics have Navi units? And the geeteeahhlo has a bunch of funky loggers and whatnot, right? Given that they seized the car and issued tickets, this sounds to me as thogugh a judge would most likely grant a warrant for access to the data loggers, right? Cheap shitty car = no fancy tech = no evidence; expensive car of win = fancy shiznizzle = busted! Posted via RS Mobile |

Looks like translink just got a few more customers! Haha what a bunch of spoiled kids. Is it just me or does the next generation look look bleek? Lots of teens(18,19) think they're entitled to something these days. IE. Having a driver's license. Bad parenting ftl. Posted via RS Mobile |

I agree with Rogue. Licenses should be also based on displacement.
L & N Drivers ---- allowed to drive <2.0 Litres 4 Cylinders
<5 Years driving ---- up to 3.0 Litre 4 Cylinder
6-8 Years driving ---- limited up to 6 cyclinder
8+ Years driving ---- unlimited
Or some something like that...
I would love to see an Audi R8 with a VW 1.8T or a Ferrari with a Fiat 500 engine.
And traffic fines should be based on price of your car... If your driving around in a $100,000+ Car then you should pay more for your fine. eg. $15,000
If you are caught speeding in your Yugo(if you could do the speed limit) your fine would be considerable less.
The fine is to deter you from doing it again. Correct?
Sorry for the RANT... Also the L and N should be larger.
Hell I have 2 Driving teenagers(1 L and 1N) They are allowed to drive sub 2.0l cars in the garage. No way are they driving the V8s. I guess I care about them and the drivers around them. That being said maybe the 13 drivers parents don't give a shit on what their children are doing.

I doubt their parents know what they are doing...considering a few of the drivers live in my building or next door (the orange Superleggera, Gold GTR, SLS) and their parents aren't here.
Ironically, I live quite close to SR.

And stop with the excuses, your car is pretty recognizable and I have personally witnessed you drive like an idiot in city traffic before cutting people off nearly causing an accident...or are you going to claim it was someone else driving your car, that oddly enough looked a lot like you in the Global news footage.

All you guys getting raging about possible civil forfeiture, it's not a done deal. It's just a possibility.
You guys should be upset towards the lawmakers who granted the powers to the police, not the police themselves.

I think your limits are a bit unfair. (which i assume you would be more negotiable)
#1 I sold my car, and i drive my family car. It's got a 2.5 V6 in it. According to this logic, I would not be allowed to drive to work / school. I'm not alone. This would prohibit teens from driving their family cars (if they only have 1 car) if they were V8's. I've got a friend who's only family car is a V8 Cherokee
#2 Limiting the displacement / cylinders does not limit the performance of a car. Yes you see civics with 1.8 4's with 140 w.e horsepower, but there are also 2L cars are push upwards of 300- who knows how much power
#3 Some people NEED larger displacements. If you were in the construction industry or w.e industry would require a truck for work, It would be near impossible to find an adequate truck for work if you only have 3/4 years of driving experience
As far as your fine theory, I COMPLETELY agree. In fact many countries already do this; where you get fined based on either (correct me if I'm wrong) your salary or the value of your car.
I believe it's your salary...

Fuck the POLICE! When did rich chinese get treated like Compton blacks?

PPS this is a civil liberties issue, not a pro rich boy issue | When you are driving like a bunch of maniacs on public road 3 in the afternoon going 200km/hr or just speed that put others in danger, unfortunately you put yourself in a very vulnerable position. In this case it just happened to be young Asian kids, I doubt the police would've reacted any different if it was White kids or EI kids.
Although there was no damage to any individual or property, this thing had the all the ingredients (driver's age, N, vehicle, speed, time of day...) in becoming a really bad accident. That is what the police is looking at.

For us to expect that a car's computer has the hardware to allow it to record a unlimited amount of data such as car's speed at any given time, would be far-fetched.
I know for sure that a data logger will indefinitely record when something triggers it to do so. ie: a fault code, a rapid change in wheel speed (whether it's up or down), and of course in the case of a collision.
I'm not saying that the data logger doesn't record speeds but what I am saying is that since there was no collision involved here, and we don't know exactly how much time has passed since they were allegedly going 200+Km/hr to the point where they stopped, a data-logger could not/will not be used. It's not possible for you to search the data-logger to see what speed the car was going and Y time unless something instigated the car's computer to save it.
Also, there are privacy issues when it comes to using the data logger in court and for the judge to rule that the data logger evidence is admissible in court, would require some extreme, perhaps tragic event to have occurred. Fortunately that did not happen here and for a judge to allow data logging evidence based on citizen, eye-witness testimony saying that these guys were speeding in excess of 200km/hr would simply not be sufficient in court. At the end of the day, the data-logger and the data stored in there is under the sole ownership of the owner of the vehicle.

Hopefully they learn there lesson before its to late
I am pretty sure all of us when we where young they would get the urge to speed.
After a couple car accidents (not my fault), I realized how dangerous cars can be and slowed the fuck down. I don't want to injure and cause bodily harm to others.

They are probably more worried about their parents. I am pretty sure no matter how rich of an Asian you are, your parents always have a beating stick tucked away in the closet. | Regardless of whether or not they have a beating stick tucked away, if they actually dusted it off and used it once in a while I don't think this thread would be in existence. lol
