Magic JAck call forwarding to cellphone
I live in Nanaimo but want to get a Vancouver number. I'm planning on getting Magic Jack and have it forward all calls to my cell. Has anyone done something similar will it work?

Nanaimo is not part of freephoneline.ca "free city calling list" so it won't forward to his Nainamo number for free. He will have to pay long distance when someone calls his Vancouver number.

If you have an iPhone or Android device, there's an app called Line2 that you can try for free for 7 days. After that it's $9.95 US/month. You can choose a Vancouver number and have it forward to any North American number you want for free or you can make a call with the app anywhere in North America for free using wifi or your data plan. You can also have the app running in the background and people can call you through that app.

Nettalk can only be used to make outgoing calls because you don't get a separate phone number to receive incoming calls.
