Anybody know a locksmith who can reset an ECM... I've got an 03 Altima ECM that needs to be synced up to my key. I'm not looking to tow to nissan.

I think only the dealership. I bought a 2002 Q45 that had no keys. Dealer were able to get and reprogram the key/remote.

PM me. I have access to the consult 2. If the 03 Altima is NATS Early V5.0 than its pretty simple.

Aside from dealer, the only way you will get it working is with a Consult 2 with the purple NATS card.

Nope but i use one every day.

The only cars you could really do on your own even if you had one is the early nats V5.0 cars because the earlier ones just used a generic code to initialize the keys, same goes for the nats v2.0.

The later on cars required you to retrieve the 5 digit number off the BCM, which you would need to then go on and access NOA to get the unlock code to complete the re-register of the keys/ecm/bcm in later models.

I personally toyed around with buying one, you can get them pretty cheap but i dont even own a nissan vehicle anymore so it'd really be useless. I am contemplating picking up the Mercedes STAR module as that will be useful with my current vehicle.
