Super stoked about this, just because it has a good cast, and takes place in Hong Kong. It should be interesting to see if it has a cultural impact, with all the fear mongering

Actually, I think a virus with a high percentage of deaths that kills within days ends up burning itself out rather quickly.
The problem is something that still has a high percentage of kills, but is contagious for days before symptoms even start to show. And then kills slowly.
Solid cast. Extremely good story telling. Gave everyone a good insight on what will happen when a virus outbreak happens in modern day society. Taught people to be more aware regarding their personal hygiene.
^+1 .... I honestly went in with such low expectations, as the movie was starting I remember thinking "oh great, here we go again. This is gonna suck so bad" but it was actually badass and I loved the ending. Also I had no idea the cast was so good, so many familiar faces.
Watched contagion last showing yesterday at Riverport. Liked it very much. Liked how everything connected. After the movie, everyone wanted to wash their hands. Lol Posted via RS Mobile
Didn't Hong Kong release a similar type of movie shortly after SARS? Good to see some HK actors in the movie, good reminder of personal hygiene, expected more graphic scenes though.
Spoiler!
I found it quite funny when the girl doctor got abducted and transferred into the van near the harbour/marina. I believe that's where the HK Police Clubhouse is located.

bad.... just bleh
went to this tonight
i went in expecting your typical epidemic film.. but i was hoping it would really shine out of the plethora that we've had
but it really fell flat... we were actually discussing if we should just leave it was the bad; i decided to give it some more time but even though events hastened near the end it was still very mediocre imo and that's being polite
4.5/10
oh and the Tron like soundtrack was very out of place.... it seemed like they put that in there to keep people from falling asleep
and what was with the choice of film? it looks like it was shot with a cellphone (and not the ones with really good cameras like the N8 but a midgrade one) almost worse than that... felt like very cheesy low budget Video quality if that was an artistic choice... wow

Probably shot with a Hong Kong camera, since half the movie is there...

there've been tv commercials and movie shorts shot with the N8 and even Anti-Nokia engadget says that the N8 is still in a 'league of its own' over a year after its release when they compared it with the SGS2
