Shell V power gas on sale

I used my 74 Nova as a garburator last week to get rid of a tank of really old premix 2 stroke marine gas . Felt a little bad about treating her like s%&#, so I went by the Shell on Kingsway right across from Central park to give her some clean V gas at around 4:30 am today. To my surprise the 91 octane was cheaper then the silver.

Don't know how long it will last, but if you are driving by that way you can check.

They are doing construction going into the gas station from the kingsway entrance so you guys with the lowered jap mobiles should be carefull entering. (big gravel bump)

shell isnt all that bad anymore. especially since chevron decided to do the 10% ethanol mix.

i think shell is one of the few still left that doesnt have any ethanol blend in their gas. at least in the premium.

chevron 91 (10% blend)
shell vpower premium (no ethanol).

if u happen to drive a car that is sensitive to this, you may get worse performance, gas mileage, and i have even see a check engine light due to the ethanol blend.

!SG is right.

Shell's 91 V Power contains no ethanol while Chevron's 91 does. You have to pay a premium for Chevron's 94 which contains no ethanol.

I fill up on 91 V Power and 94 Chevron with Techron to achieve VTEC on my M3. Fuck VANOS.

I doubt they're losing any money by selling premium at regular prices... Just goes to show how rediculously high they mark up the premium stuff.

thought a lot of it is taxes? not so much profit for the gas station itself?

You'd think the amount of taxes applied to regular or premium would be the same.

I always thought silver or midgrade is a mix of premium and basic, so V-power plus bronze in Shell's case. So if you run out of bronze, silver should be premium also...

Midgrade is a mix or regular and premium. If they run out of regular or premium mid grade will not work.
