Here's his substack documenting more... |
"the government is forcing vaccines and other treatments on my disabled child, and now my child is a car, and the doctors are mechanics, and they are stealing my car with the help of the mob (government), and now Justin Trudeau wants to steal our car." Is he on RS? |
Good thing I'm not a doctor. I would have said "fuck it, you do you!" many many times by now. |
There's no way that guy... drives an S2000, right? |

Hey Degens, Is it unpatriotic if I book a family trip to Palm Springs? I hinted to my wife I wouldn't mind checking Palm Springs out this year with the kids and she said we can't go to the states because of the US/Canada relations and thinks it's not right to visit the states right now. Have any of you guys cancelled or changed plans to the States? |
The conspiracy theorist in me says putin 2.0 will invade canada, so im avoiding booking any ridge track days :okay: |
I had (vague) plans to go to Legoland in San Diego, as well as going to Hawaii. Plus a whole bunch of casual driving Trader Joe runs etc. But all of that is going up in smoke now. The primary reason for cancelling those plans is of course political. The other part that I'm trying to convince myself of is the poor exchange rate. But I don't really have to dig deep, and I know the exchange rate reason isn't why I am cancelling the US vacation plans. On the other hand, I will openly admit that I can't completely give up on buying US produce. Take oranges for example -- the Australian / Chinese / Egyptian ones just aren't anywhere nearly as good. And I'm sure some of the other fresh produce I bought aren't all coming from Mexico either. But when there are viable alternatives, I will gladly buy the non-US items, even if they are slightly more expensive. |
I have skipped the concerts and shit I was planning on going to in Seattle, and skipped a couple baker trips. It sucks but fuck that place. I don't blame people that aren't taking it that far, but I do blame people that aren't at least trying to change their habits a bit to keep money from going down south. If you can't give it up that's your deal and shouldn't feel guilty about it, but you should try and take other measures IMO to do something if your family or you do feel that way. That said if wife says no, that's a pretty pointless fight to pick as she's standing her ground for something she believes in and that deserves a lot of respect. |
Im not doing my usual Oregon coast / norcal road trip this year. I usually go down in March to ensure it’s not too too hot in norcal. But fuck those clowns. I’m going to probably visit 69 and gs8 in Alberta instead. |

I think everyone's got to do what they think is reasonable when it comes to protesting against the US - I'm not going cold turkey against them (I ain't pouring out my bourbon) but I'm trying to choose alternatives whenever it's low/medium impact (like blackberries and raspberries instead of strawberries - I told my kid that we don't have strawberries anymore b/c of the bad Americans). OTOH I am super extra fucking judgmental if you're buying a Tesla now. Fuck those idiots. |

Their country is threatening to annex us and take away our sovereignty. I personally cannot fathom spending my hard earned money on such a country at time like this. |

The system is simply playing good cop, bad cop with us on a civilizational scale. Mark Carney, the EU, governments around the world were just given a blank cheque to impliment "crisis management" because Trump has been talking shit. Ironically, this is pandemic 2.0, where a perceived external threat has now been used, again, to mass manipulate people into following the billionaire agenda. What do you want to bet that over the next 4 years, the billionaire class does not lose any money? Musk's "money" is just fictional in value, because the US government would never let their frontman lose his fortune for pushing what is, essentially, just the private sector masquerading as being private sector. Space X, Tesla, many fingers of government are involved in those companies and the funding of keeping America the cutting edge of human development.* *ever notice western news and art never, ever seems to cover China's society and tech progress? Things that make you go hmmm. |
Alright. I guess we'll just go to Mexico then. The US exchange rate is pretty crap anyway. |
mexico is way more fun anyway |
Yeah our dollar value is making it pretty easy to boycott the states right now, Trump is just making it that much easier to not bother at all. |
