I'd look at it as 1000% not worth my time and would rather sell to anyone locally instead (even at a loss). The time and resources involved as well as the risk factors (hassle at border, potentially shady buyer, etc) are more than enough for me to completely ignore such a deal. |

This person was wondering because they live in the PNW and I was curious myself about the process. |
Ok, that's good. I ask because someone I worked with (emphasis on past tense) is serving 20 years in federal prison for selling something network related. :lol |
Has anybody seen any live shows/theater/performances in London? If so, does anybody have any recommendations? Will be in London for work in a few weeks, and staying the weekend. I've been to London before but never seen any live theater or performances and so no idea what's worthwhile to see. Thanks! |

He sold network devices containing security encryption that was under sanction from the US gov't. I'll leave it there. Edit: For clarity, for those of you who know me personally, said colleague sold these devices under his own personal enterprise. He would buy random computer equipment from auctions etc. and re-sell them on eBay etc. I don't want to go to jail or have anyone make assumptions. :D |

I am planning to go to the famous Globe Theatre and check out the Shakespeare adaptation that’s on there right now… a version of Romeo and Juliet I believe. |
My dad passed away recently, and sister, mom and I had to deal with the arrangements. Fortunately, my dad was a boomer that liked good bargains and in '97, he bought plots for mom and himself when a family friend convinced him to get a plot while the price was low. He told his friends to buy too, but they didn't think the price would go up much for when they needed it. Since this was all setup, it made arrangements a lot easier. I was expecting an all-day thing, but we were done in under 3 hours. During the process, my mom asked about what a current plot costs today. Dad had paid $2,000 per plot. Current plot prices are $22,000 each! My dad got his awesome deal even in death. As we get older, we can't ignore the strong possibility that we'll die someday. Making sure everything is ready to receive your death will help with the stress of an already difficult time. My mom invited my wife and I to share their plots as the ones they purchased can be dug deeper to accommodate 2 coffins per plot. I told them I'd take it. |

re: plots. My in-laws are shopping for plots right now and experiencing sticker shock for sure (my parents bought in the 90s). |
$22,000 for a plot? Damn! Burn me and throw me into a $10 Chamber pot you found at Value Village. |
No disrespect but it’s such a weird thing to pay a private company 10’s of thousands of dollars to bury your body like that’s some sort of virtuous way to go out. At least from a non-religious perspective. We buried my wife’s grandma who was 97 this past summer at the cemetery behind Central Park in Burnaby and I was absolutely disgusted/appalled at the “extras” a funeral service could charge. Literally everything was an extra including the ability to play your own music at the wake after. Then, when the funeral home was suppose to arrange this “all-inclusive” service, the fucking priest from the church the service was held at (the same church my wife’s family probably donated 10’s of thousands of dollars over their lifetime) called my wife and said he “didn’t receive his ‘tip’” Everything about the experience was -terrible- |
I'm just gonna ask my kid to burn me up and toss the ashes in the backyard. The money to spend on anything more than that can be better spent elsewhere. |
This is why my wishes are to be cremated. I'd rather have my ashes be planted under a tree than take up a plot of land. It'll save money and also contribute to the earth long after I'm gone. |
There's no shopping around for better deals once you're arranging things. You could easily spend 6-figures (excluding plot) on the service. We could hear that someone spent money on an operatic singer. He was belting out a tune for a service when we arrived for our appointment. My dad is private person and the funeral is only going to be immediate family. Even minimally, it cost $10k. The majority of the cost was the casket ($2,700) and the transport which includes paul bearers ($5,000). |
FYI:You don't have to buy a casket from a funeral home there are online shops based in BC that will sell them to you for way cheaper. |
Can't help but Asian here, save casket and bearer fee. Cremate me and stick my urn in the cupholder for all I care lol. Don't waste your damn money on this shit. |
For that kind of money just toss me in a dumpster and call it good. |
Y'all need to watch, The Last Dance |

Any of you guys need a deal on a casket? https://i.etsystatic.com/5363230/r/i...61115_tek6.jpg The ex home for our hvac coils, can be your future family home. Pickup behind our shop (Im kidding, you know who you are) Spoiler! |
I don't remember if it's here, they won't cremate you without a casket. You need a minimal cheap box. Also Traum, from anecdotes online, you don't actually turn into ash after they cremate you. The ppl that work there still need to break up your smaller pieces and put it into the urn. It's just easier to break up after your body has been cooked. |
I'll make my own casket from discarded pallets thank you very much |

I just want my ashes put in a hole. I never expect anyone come to my graveyard to pay respect; i rather live my life to the fullest with friends and family (hence i host dinners all the time) so i may live in their memories. |
