FUCKING FUCK. ..korean people. :fuckthatshit: |
Round ice cubes FTW http://i.imgur.com/saYuh.jpg Apparently it allows the whisky to chill, but does not expose it to as much ice surface as cubes, which dilute it To me, I like the way the flavour changes as the ice melts, but this is fun because it slows it down a bit. I'm not snobby about whisky, I just really fucken like it :) |
Yeah, the ice maker at home makes the kind of ice cubes that have them holes in it. Cools down drink fast because more surface area. BTW, what kind of Whisky you like/prefer? |
Yeah this is the other way around... less surface area = slower cooling. Pretty neat invention, of course it's japanese. For whisky I prefer single malts, from Japan and Highland Scotland. All of Suntory's Single Malts are excellent, like Yamazaki 12 and 18, Hakusho, etc. Usually I buy Macallan 12 sherry oak, since it is reasonably priced for really good whisky. |

The round ice is awesome. I don't drink anymore (easy does it), but I've always liked Suntory (Kotobukiya). Hibiki? |
Hibiki is the one Suntory whisky I haven't tried yet. It's probably the most expensive I'm guessing that's why :lol |

Anybody know where I can drop off a a battery from a cordless electric lawnmower for recycling (preferrably in Richmond)? |
|
Some battery places (Edmond's battery, Brunette battery) will give you 5 bucks for used car batteries. I'm assuming its of the same type... |
Went to the very first 'cha chan teng' last night for dinner. The place hasn't changed in 60 years. Food wasn't great, but environment was awesome. I'd totally bring visitors here. http://i.imgur.com/S3Ool.jpg I love that picture because you can't tell if it was taken last night or 50 years ago (except for the prices and no smoking/no photos signs) |
I hate to find out what is under that bench....... LOL. No photos, eh? hee hee.............. |
Here's an 'artsy' shot of the menu that sits under the glass on the table, with a reflection of the old school neon sign from outside: http://i.imgur.com/7h68r.jpg |

Just a questions for those who watch youtube videos. On many occasions I try to upgrade the viewer to either 720p or 1080p when available and I find the resolution doesn't change. This happens a lot for hockey video's. Is anyone else having this problem? Or is it just my computer?? |
think its just you, it changes for me lol |

So I was trekking through the JUNGLE~! and came across this bad boy http://i.imgur.com/AEfZ0.jpg His web was blocking our entire path. You can't tell from my shitty pic, but he is about the size of my hand with fingers extended. We tried to get a picture of a hand next to him, but he ran away :\ Biggest bug I've ever seen in my life, it was pretty awesome! Anyone know what kind it is? |
Maybe one variety of Camel Spider? |
Pretty sure it is a Golden Silk Orb-Weaver now, particularly this one. Another link: http://www.hiking-hong-kong.com/hong-kong-spiders.php Turns out it's not poisonous at all. Wish I had known that, it would be pretty rad to get a picture of one on my face :D But then again, 2cm fangs "Their bite is compared to a bee or wasp sting, no doubt due to those large pincers on their bodies" :heckno: I take it back! :heckno: I made a joke that they must eat birds... turns out they do! :heckno: |
