They finally got the overpass to Princess Auto/Brick/Lee Valley/whathaveyou finished. Yet to drive over it, but looks good.

I made the mistake a few weeks back of trying to get to Princess Auto via the one lane bridge by the tracks at the foot of Braid Street. I was on Brunette turning left. There was a long line of cars, because the left turn signal doesn't work if a train is crossing. It was a long ass train, so I waited and waited and........ when it finally passed, the lineup of cars started to move. Two lights later with two more cars to go, I hear a fucking train horn and this time a train heading the other way comes along. Fuck! This train is fucking twice as long as the other one. It took me 35 minutes to get across.......... should have gone on Hwy 1 instead. Fucking Port Mann Bridge construction.

I listen to Virgin Radio on the way to work - 1000 dollar minute, Nat and Drew, etc. Before I die, I want to meet this Bonnie Brookes chick. Her voice. Man, she must either swallow a lot or drink scotch out of the bottle. Such a unique, hoarse voice. I imagine her to be like some 90 year old broad with wrinkles all over her face. "Hi, I'm Bonnie Brookes, President of the Bay." My throat gets dry just listening to her. LOL.

The other voice that intrigues me is that of the Ivory Snow chick, turned porn star, Marilyn Chambers. Now for sure she has that voice from swallowing too much. :fullofwin:

Drove over the new bridge a couple times already. Good improvement. I was completely avoiding United Boulevard because of that cluster fuck.

Went over it today just because I could. I then had a craving for McD's coffee. Was wAndering how I could get there. Then it dawned on me........ turn right after bridge and go into Toys R Us using the new driveway they built recently. So full of win. Cashed in my Monopoly free fries game piece. Life's good.......... LOL.

Good it's finally done, haven't driven over it yet. I've had to go to home depot a few times during the construction. Tried going the braid way the first time, huge lineup to make the left and brunette/braid took forever to get there. Tried comming from the other end of united the next time, everyone was going 40 along united. You just couldn't win. Wonder how much money the stores in that area lost during those few months.

Yes, when it comes down to it, it is definitely the simple things in life. When out of nowhere things go right for a change.

Best way is to go on Hwy 1 and take the exit prior to bridge and turn right and then right again onto United Boulevard. After you're done and you need to get back, they have that short cut to westbound Hwy 1 opened from 2 pm on. So fast. Remember to stay in right lane on Hwy 1 until last possible moment to beat out traffic.

Getting to the Casino is so much faster when coming from westbound on Hwy 1. Not that I go to the Casino that often. BC Gold Card, FTMFW!!!
