Has anyone had experience going somewhere on a one-way flight?
I am going to Korea on a one-way flight as I am not sure how long I plan to stay. I was going to get my visa sorted when I arrived as Canadians can stay up to six months by default on a tourist visa. Right now I am not sure if I'm going to be applying for a student visa or obtaining a work visa. Quote:
Visitors are required to hold proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay and documents required for their next destination.
| From what I've researched, the worst case scenario is that they make me purchase a return ticket home, otherwise I'm denied boarding access.
If I need sufficient proof of funds, I assume a bank statement is more than sufficient? What about a credit card?

They wouldn't deny you boarding access, they'd simply reject you and you'd end up on a flight back to Canada.
When I went to Korea, they didn't ask me for my return ticket (even though I had one), they just asked for the card with my deets (where I was staying, etc etc), and then gave me the stamp and waved me through.
The customs lady didn't speak English, and seemed to be somewhat sketched out by me and just waved me through (though if you check Movember thread, you might understand why).
Korea's pretty chill about Canadians, since it's not really a big deal. Expect to be talked to in Korea though (I'm assuming you're asian) even when you go through the foreign passport line.

any tips? hard or easy compared to other areas?
BTW: anyone know where to get one of these
I know they have one at prostock on willingdon but it wasn't the cream of the crop.
im looking for a dedicated basketball one, not a multi sport one.
or if you have one id buy it off you

Anyone glad to see part of kingsway (from king edward to nainamo) smoothly paved??
At least better than before when it was all bumpy, now with more apartment buildings being built, connecting new pipes to main one, and eventually repaving makes it nicer to drive on. Posted via RS Mobile |
