where to get printer cartridges ink refill? I live near Joyce Station Area. I tried searching on Revscene, but all of the post are outdated. Thanks.

looking for suggestions for someone to repair an LCD

Hitachi LCD TV
I think it's stuck in stand-by mode. Maybe a broken relay that sends power to the rest of the TV? I dunno

sitting on my balcony absorbing the sun, drinking an ice cold Carlsberg, listening to The White Stripes on vinyl, reading Lucky Peach. I can't imagine a better way to spend a long weekend. This is the type of day all Vancouverites look forward to all winter.

You can try SS Lasertech

They come out to our office and quality is pretty good. Service is second to none.

Based out of Richmond, but have people all over the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.

is it normal for landlord to visit the house to check up on the suite?
my condo landlord just called and ask if he could come by and "inspect".
I was kinda shocked, never had a landlord ask for this.
I have nothing to hide but kinda wtf....

Very normal, just ask Gridlock. Make sure you haven't been beating up the place, smoking pot, cooking meth...all that jazz.

StylinRed 03-31-2013 02:04 AM

iirc the law requires that they check up on rental units

i had thought they were supposed to check on the suite without prior notice though

id look into it for you but its 3am :P

Graeme S 03-31-2013 02:13 AM

The law requires 24 hours' notice.

edit: after googling and finding a utube video, it's actually a star, really cool bright strobing 4 color star. pretty neat.

Noticed that at Steveston last night, to the SW. Any more information? I can't find anything.

Landlord has the right to conduct an inspection of the rental unit no less than every 30 days if he or she would like to. However, the landlord IS required to give you 24 hour notice prior to entry (as Graeme pointed out).

WE usually don't do every 30 days as its a huge pain in the ass...we usually do a yearly inspection that coincides with the yearly fire inspection. IF we suspect something is happening in the suite, we will conduct a random inspection (with 24 hour notice, of course).

On a personal side, when I was renting...the apt was managed by a private rental company (was a private building-not rental building) and the owner would request a yearly inspection.

It is not rare and these inspections SHOULD happen to avoid shit going down in your neighbour's apt.

BurnoutBinLaden 03-31-2013 09:34 PM

If you're renting an apartment that requires references, and you don't have references because it's your first apartment, what can you do?

dinosaur 03-31-2013 09:43 PM

credit check, confirmation of employment, character reference.

and tbh, i usually look people up on facebook....gives you a good indication of what someone is like.
