looking for suggestions for someone to repair an LCD

I think it's stuck in stand-by mode. Maybe a broken relay that sends power to the rest of the TV? I dunno

is it normal for landlord to visit the house to check up on the suite?
my condo landlord just called and ask if he could come by and "inspect".
I was kinda shocked, never had a landlord ask for this.
I have nothing to hide but kinda wtf....

iirc the law requires that they check up on rental units
i had thought they were supposed to check on the suite without prior notice though
id look into it for you but its 3am :P

I have nothing to hide but kinda wtf.... | Landlord has the right to conduct an inspection of the rental unit no less than every 30 days if he or she would like to. However, the landlord IS required to give you 24 hour notice prior to entry (as Graeme pointed out).
WE usually don't do every 30 days as its a huge pain in the ass...we usually do a yearly inspection that coincides with the yearly fire inspection. IF we suspect something is happening in the suite, we will conduct a random inspection (with 24 hour notice, of course).
On a personal side, when I was renting...the apt was managed by a private rental company (was a private building-not rental building) and the owner would request a yearly inspection.
It is not rare and these inspections SHOULD happen to avoid shit going down in your neighbour's apt.
