I'm pretty sure they made about 4x more S13's than S14's, roughly 200k vs. 50k.

The mid 90's was a great time to get into RWD Japanese cars. S13/14, NSX, Mk 1/2 MR2's, Mk 3/4 Supras and FC/FD's.

takes 30 seconds to shoot them an email...

:rukidding:

if they then avoid talking about the KMs then its :denied:

I did see the ad that qmx323 posted and was gonna look into but it seems expensive. I've been in the market for a while now and it's hard to come across one that is a decent colour, standard and not abused but I guess I'm asking for too much. I need to accept the fact that I'll have to pay $8000 or more if I want a clean one for a car that's close to 20 years old :(

Has anyone switched over to LED lights? I've been hearing about them a lot more, especially how they save you so much more on your electricity bill.

You have to rewire your whole house for them right? I saw a picture online and they aren't the screw in type.

All all LED lights created equal?

Anyone know what they're filming at the view point on Cypress Mtn? There's an army base-like setup and a tank at the view point. Super cool!

Photo of 1939 Jay-Z look-alike surfaces online

Did Jay-Z travel back to the 1930s to do research for his "Great Gatsby" soundtrack?

The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at the New York Public Library posed the question on its blog and Facebook page this week, after curators noticed that a 1939 photo of a man in Harlem bore an uncanny resemblance to the 43-year-old rapper and mogul.

The black-and-white photograph, snapped by a man named Sid Grossman, shows one man leaning on a railing and staring directly at the camera.

“I was immediately struck by the similarity to Jay-Z and actually laughed out loud," said Sylviane A. Diouf, Schomburg’s Curator of Digital Collections. "I still hope somebody will tell us who that young man really was.”

Apparently there was some thunder and lightning today. I was in Point Roberts so I missed it.

We never get good thunderstorms here because the atmosphere is too stable (our airflow comes off the Pacific which is like 15 degrees in summer. For those wondering, thunderstorms are so intense east of the Rockies because the airflow comes off the Gulf of Mexico, which is warm enough to fuel hurricanes). I think the last storm of note was last August, it was the first time I saw forked lightning in Vancouver in about three years. And Seattle got rocked hard for two weeks in July.

For thunder 2009 was better though...massive cracks and gunshots. Scary shit. It was like an Alberta-strength storm. Plus it was fireworks night and the sky turned orange.

Nothing beats the storm we got around BC Day 1999 though. I was only 8 at the time but I'll remember it for the rest of my life. I remember it had been storming all night and well into the next morning. The afternoon was warm and humid and then around 4pm the skies opened up with some of the loudest thunder I have ever heard.

Of course, that was just Vancouver. I've experienced summers in Chicago and Washington DC, and rainy seasons in Ethiopia...whoof.

What are your Vancouver thunderstorm memories?
