long story short:

- i get 80% first term, 82% second term in Strength & Conditioning class
- during first & second term, i attend classes and perform well. i miss class sometimes, but barely
- i skipped like 3-4 of his classes to prepare for commencement & prom during last few weeks of school
- i go back to class this week and he drops me from 82% to 46% third term and coach threatens to fail me and not give me the credit for the course
- i am also a working student, so i apologized & told him straight up that i skipped his class in order to prepare. he doesn't seem to have a sense of understanding, and instead proceeds to give me attitude & bitch at me

final grades are calculated by adding the percentages of all three terms and dividing by 3, but is he allowed to do this?
since i have 80% + 82%, am i in the safe? even if he decides to be a fucking whore and gives me like 5% for third term

any insight would be appreciated, thanks in advance

Depends on each term's weights. Some classes i had were 30/30/40 for first, second, and third term.

Might be possible if he gave you like 1%

I hate asshole teachers :rukidding:

Go speak to a councilor or vice principle, man. Seriously.

They're usually able to help in these situations.

80 + 82 + 46 = 208

208/3 = 69.3R

69% =/= fail?

even if you got 0 for third term.

80 + 82 + 0 = 162

162/3 = 54

54% =/= fail

so...

here's a lesson you'll learn as you get older... don't wait for something to happen to react to it, because it's more difficult to address an issue post it taking place than prior to it taking place. i would quickly stop into a councilors office at your next opportunity.

i am aware of that. my question was, does he have to power to alter that 54%?

what do you mean... alter...?

if the terms are scaled/tiered then yes he can butt fuck you.

say term 1 = 30, term 2 = 30 and term 3 = 40 like someone else mentioned.

he has the power to fail you.

go talk to someone immediately about it before shit happens.

Does anybody know how much gasoline I'm permitted to bring back into Canada in jerry cans from the States? I've tried looking but to no avail.

technically anything not in your tank is taxable.

They usually let one jerry can through no charge

Hondaracer 06-13-2013 07:52 PM

Did they come from Surrey, got the X5 at the father's used car dealership, and they had a trunk full of milk from costco as well?

cute kid, really made me choke up a bit seeing him trying to lean over and be with his classmates.
i know there was no malice intended and sometimes handicapped people get annoyed when theyre given special treatment, but he is an innocent child, someone needed to step up and do a better job including him, be it the photographer or the teacher. not that they did it on purpose but someone definitely dropped the ball.

SoNaRWaVe 06-14-2013 10:49 PM

it could have been as simple as the whole class moving over closer to the edge of the bench towards the kid.

fliptuner 06-14-2013 11:27 PM

The editor could've easily PS'd him closer

dinosaur 06-15-2013 08:59 AM

i am sure his chair would have fit in front of the teacher...i'd like to see them re-shoot their class photo.
