I live alone and always it up Costco... Gas is cheaper and for toothpaste, toilet paper and even the clothing are great deals. They sell way more then just food especially the money I spend on razor blades is way cheaper as well.

Mark Cuban #1 tip on gaining wealth is buying things your going to use in bulk at a discount

Costco isn't only good for bulk food, theres tons of things for around the house, garden, even clothing. It's just me and my wife, and we make plenty good use out of our membership.

They're starting to get stingy on this. My parents used to do this all the time and now the cashiers only let them buy the value of their gift card :rukidding:. This happened at Willingdon and Surrey.

bartone 06-28-2013 03:13 PM

yeah they they started to write down the card numbers of the GC you use. One costco I went to in the states made me sign out a temporary membership card at the customer service desk before I entered

Hondaracer 06-28-2013 03:15 PM

thats how it should be, ppl shouldnt be able to just abuse the system like that.. a coscto membership is only $55...

also for the people who dont have cards who want to go in, just walk in the exit

I have an interview scheduled for McDonalds on Sunday. Does anyone know if they pay extra for working the graveyard shift?

And no, I'm not trolling-I actually do have an interview. It's at the Grandview Highway location. It's a recent reno (similar to Kingsway and Victoria, modern with flat screen TVs on the inside).

Yes. Double time. Ask them about it.

At first they will play hard to get, but that is part of the game. You have to work for it keep asking and insisting....eventually they will laugh, high-5, and teach you the hand shake. It is not until you master the hand shake that they will tell you how much extra they will pay you.

The answer is no.

However, when I worked at the boundary location, I get a meal and if I finished early, I would still get paid for the schedule work our for inventory/loading.

Cross-Canada hiker has gear stolen, burned in Saskatchewan - Saskatchewan - CBC News

I hope the bastards who did this burn in hell. Doing it just for kicks. They probably lead miserable lives - useless scumbags. Sounds like the guy's the type who will continue on despite the loss.

StylinRed 07-01-2013 03:49 AM

he probably pissed someone off

^^ welcome to the gym industry. same thing happened to me...its always in the fine print.

i had moved, was going to school full time and working 2 jobs....i didn't have the time to go to the gym regularly and although i wasn't "on contract" anymore, it was still murder trying to get them off my back when i was "cancelling".

they are all pricks.

you are better off going to community centre or college/uni gym.

Might be old news, but Boulevard Casino in winter of 2013 is going to become a Hard Rock Casino. First thing I do is buy a Hard Rock pin before the casino fails and they shut 'er down. Any of you remember the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Vancouver? I missed getting a pin from there. Missed getting one from my own home town, LOL.

dinosaur 07-03-2013 09:32 AM

I remember eating several times at the Hard Rock Cafe downtown....was in a weird location. Food wasn't too bad and it was better than Planet Hollywood.

Maybe the casino will be more successful? Seems to do better than the restaurants...

I have only been to the Boulevard Casino once when it first opened...not sure how business is now.
