Hey guys im buying a car, dealer has it listed for 22k i offered 20k and surprisingly they accepted right away. Is it a bit of a dick move if i keep on pushing now after the initial offer? No deposit or anything has been done yet.

Should've started at 18 ish 19k or something :lawl:

StylinRed 08-10-2013 10:08 PM

just push for 20k including any fees they want to try and tack on for paperwork etc etc and if they say no leave and try again later at a lower price :)

SoNaRWaVe 08-11-2013 12:44 AM

just be nice about it. just say, "when i offered 20k for the car, it was the price i intended to drive out with" if they put in any extra fees. and like stylin said, just walk out if they say no and try again or look for another car. maybe another sales would be ok with it.

LP700-4 08-11-2013 01:30 AM

It was already priced lower than the average market price and I made the salesman promise that it would be 20k +tax and that's it. Any BS fees are to be waived or the deal is off. I think we are going to go forward with the deal, pending test drive and inspection of course.

Hope to report back here on Tuesday with a new car

dusting off my old LP's and came across one of my favorite Jazz albums. A white virgin vinyl direct to disc pressing of Peter Appleyard Presents. I just googled his name and wow, dude died last month at the age of 84. RIP........ great Canadian Jazz artist.

fuck the promise, if he wants to sell it you will get a deal. Think of how man times their promises screw people over.

Luckily salesman stuck with his word.

Is this any different from Google's Live Traffic free in Google Maps? More accurate, hopefully?
