OK, whoever feeds squirrels, because they think it's cute to feed these fricken varmints, needs to stop it.

These so called cute furry things are a nightmare. Wait until they take over the neighbourhood. They will get into your car's engine in the winter and chew the crap out of your wires causing considerable damage........ maybe not as expensive as replacing a broken keyhole on an Acura, but close.

If that's not enough, they will find their way into your gutters and soffits and cause extensive damage.

How do I know somebody has been feeding these fricken pests? My lawn is filled with peanuts. As far as I now peanuts don't grow in this part of the world. Ask Jimmy Carter.

Also, I've noticed more coyotes wandering around the neighbourhood. They eat squirrels. More squirrels = more coyotes. /rant

I've got a fridge with a freezer at the bottom, the freezer is working fine, but the fridge isn't cooling sufficiently even when i set it to an even colder temp everything stays mildly cool almost room temperature like :/

its still under warranty but im hoping its something i can diy to save the hassle

If its mildly cooling to not cooling at all, and the freezer portion is working, chances are more likely than not the fan is gone. This just happened to mine as well and I was able to fix it and not buy the official part, i just frankensteined it together. If you to buy the part its lik 300 bucks.

StylinRed 08-17-2013 05:53 AM

^ thanks i was thinking that too as i pulled the vent cover off the back of the fridge and couldnt feel air coming out when i activated the cooling

its repaired now though the repairman says that the circuit board fried (no clue) anyway its fixed now and the repair/replacement was covered under warranty

They could probably make a go on purely electronics, but not the margins. BB also got rid of car audio completely. Furniture has high margins and a different buying pattern(not all centered around xmas).

Their retail sales last year were slaughtered, so its all hands on deck to sell pretty much anything to make a buck.

My prediction is, they'll hurt the brand as no one will go to Best Buy for a mattress or sofa unless its cheap. No one will take future shop srs if thats where you can also buy ginch.

I don't think they have a solid plan. Sales will dwindle, and they will continue to shutter stores until they find a balance.

Scotland Yard opens case investigating claims of Princess Dianas death

The Royal Military Police handed over some evidence to the Yard involving an SAS member (special forces)

Quote:

LONDON — Scotland Yard has launched an investigation into new claims that Diana, Princess of Wales, was murdered by a member of the British military.

It said Saturday night that it had asked specialist detectives to examine new allegations and evidence passed to it “recently”.

The claims were given to the force in the last few days by the Royal Military Police, who were told of them by the parents-in-law of a former soldier, sources said.

The dossier is said to include a reference to the SAS and to the Princess’s “secret diary” according to one report. Scotland Yard declined to confirm the content or origin of the material.

Geronimo Narciso, Truck Driver Dies After Accidentally Shooting Off Own Penis

Quote:

A truck driver has died after accidentally shooting off his own penis.

Geronimo Narciso had been drinking with friends in Pangasinan, in the Philippines, when he produced his gun and fired it twice into the air.

He was tucking the gun into his waistband after his friends implored him to put it away, when it fired into his crotch, ABS.CBN News reported.

The 37-year-old was rushed to a nearby hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.

Though police say there are no signs of foul play, Narciso's family insist he did not own a gun and have demanded a further investigation.

Senior Inspector Ryan Manongdo said a pistol with four live ammunitions and spent shell were found in the area, the Inquirer.net said.

Earlier this year a security guard in Trinidad and Tobago accidentally shot off his penis with an illegal gun.

The Trinidad and Tobago Guardian reported the man survived the incident but was expected to be charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Accidental penis shooting accidents were also reported in Florida, Arizona and Washington in 2012, the Independent revealed.

BBC News - Judge approves man's sterilisation in legal first

Quote:

A High Court judge has sanctioned the sterilisation of a man "in his best interests" in a landmark legal ruling.

The 36-year-old, from the Midlands, has learning difficulties and already has a son, born in 2010, with his girlfriend.

Mrs Justice Eleanor King ruled that a vasectomy could take place after hearing that another child could cause the man "psychological harm".

Experts said he was capable of sexual consent but did not have the capacity to make decisions about contraception.

The case came to court because of undisputed evidence that the man - referred to as DE - does not have the capacity to decide whether or not to consent to sterilisation, meaning a judge had to make the decision.

Looks like 30-40% but once you factor in exchange and overhead, it's not bad.

New horror film coming out

http://cdn.bloody-disgusting.com/wp-...d-691x1024.jpg

Quote:

Red Sea Media is in the process of assembling a strong slate for the upcoming Marché du Film, including Squirrels, a new horror-thriller that the company has just acquired international sales rights for from Bazelevs, Timur Bekmambetov’s production company. Bekmambetov is best known as director of the hit international films Night Watch, Wanted and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. The film was written by Daniel Antoniazzi & Ben Shiffrin, based on an idea by Bekmambetov.

“When a young man’s estranged father is killed under suspicious circumstances, he returns home for the first time in years to get to the bottom of the mystery. Hoping to uncover some logical explanation, he instead finds his mom’s sleazy new boyfriend, a natural gas company buying up the town, an angry female sheriff who happens to be his ex-girlfriend, and an army of flesh-eating squirrels hellbent on destroying everything in their path due to an erosion of their food chain as a result of environmental destruction by the gas company.”

Lisa Ellzey and Michele Wolkoff are executive producers. The production is currently setting a director, with an A-list cast expected to sign shortly. The Red Sea sales office at the Marché du Film will be located at the Lerins venue, booth #R19. Additional sales titles from the company will be announced in the coming days.

Oh my gawd -- squirrels are HORRIBLE.

~10 years ago, we had a family of squirrels invade our house attic and the garage attic by eating through the soffits. It took us 2 weeks of water hoses, supersoakers, and traps to finally get rid of them all:badpokerface: They destroyed a few panels of our soffits and one or two window screens

jeedee 08-19-2013 06:51 PM

blows my mind how a package from the UK [1 continent away!] arrives faster than something from the States :fulloffuck:

brb ordered from UK -> comes in 5 days
brb ordered from US -> double the time or more
