Kind of a long shot, but when I was younger - think 20 years ago, I remember going to a restaurant or diner on the way to either calgary or osoyoos. Anyway I remember that they were famous for their mushroom burgers. The burger itself was ok, but the crazy thing was that they gave an absurd amount of mushrooms. Like literally half the plate was mushrooms and the other the burger. Any clue if this place actually existed?

fliptuner 09-18-2013 05:17 PM

I don't know about on the way to Calgary or Osoyoos but Fresgo's on Davie in Van (closed) and KGH in Surrey, were pretty well know for stuffing crazy amounts of mushrooms in their burgers.

Too bad he fell for the typical golddigger chick on pof. Love does make people go blind. :okay:

Did you watch the interview?

Bitch was all "it was 20 months later and I still didn't get a kidney transplant". She's worse than a gold digger. A gold digger just empties your pockets but at least will leave you intact. This one wanted him for his money and his kidney.

Yes, this was the Fresgo Inn on Davie St and they were infamous for their Mushroom Burgers. The plate was piled high with sauted mushrooms and man on man was it good.

I was brought to the attention that this may be their newer location in Surrey. Hope this helps!

Mushroom Burger ? Single ($8.95) or Double ($10.46) *w/ no pickles | Fresgo Inn ? Restaurant in Surrey BC 604-588-0878

Nah, Surrey location has been there for ages too (30+ yrs?). People that don't know it's there, usually pass it by cause the sign doesn't really stand out and the restaurant is at the very end of the complex.

Fresgo Inn got my love affair with Daft Punk going.

In the late 90s/early 00s, my dad used to take me there when it was in the West End. We always had turkey clubs (with little plastic swords for toothpicks) and onion rings. And I remember this one catchy song they played that had "one more time" in the lyrics. I always wondered what that song was.

Years pass and I finally decide to look it up. Boom, Daft Punk! And from there, Technologic, Robot Rock and Da Funk.

So, thanks, Fresgo Inn, for expanding my music tastes!

The Mac's near KGH and 72nd has both a multi-flavour softserve machine AND slushies, including orange.
You know what that means......

^It's good to know there are still good people around. I just got back from shopping. I was about to parallel park in front of Donald's Market on Hastings. I just passed this cyclist and was deciding on whether to go for it or wait for her. She wasn't about to take a chance, so she slowed down and stopped to let me park. As I was looking back through my driver's side mirror, I noticed the woman lean over to pick up what looked like a wallet. Without hesitating, she slid the wallet through the car's slightly opened moonroof. As she rode past me, I gave her the thumbs up and thanked her for what she had done - she smiled. I got out and wrote a note to the driver how this cyclist found the wallet and how she managed to slip it through the moonroof. I left it on the windshield. The last sentence I wrote on the note....... there are still good people left on this planet, please pay it forward.

I'm looking for a new general mechanic preferably in north van but willing to go further for good work.

I'd try the rs sponsors but I'm not sure which one's will do the basic work I need . At the moment I need my clockspring/cable replaced in my steering wheel.
