Alright. So. I watch a lot of US media at home. Not a day goes by that I don't hear about some horror story related to employment rights, or the cost of education or health care. Heartbreaking poverty and gun crime, huge gaps between the rich and poor. (Think killing fields of Oakland vs. Stanford/Palo Alto) I know we all like to hop across the border to save money, but living there permanently is a different matter. I thank my lucky stars every day that I live in Canada. I'm grateful for the peace and stability, for the safety net, for our mosaic society. Gee, I guess I should have saved this for Canada Day or something. |

MG1, do you know if Costco still have those 1:18 model cars for < $20 lately? Or are they only available during Xmas time? |
Is motor oil cheaper in costco/walmart in the states? I paid 23.xx for 6L of 5w20 at costco today Posted via RS Mobile |

Over the weekend, I was at the Brighton Ave. Costco. Went to get the regular hot dog and drink combo for $1.60. That's when I noticed the PEPSI cup!!!! Like their American locations, they are all Pepsi products. Dang......... where am I going to get my Diet Coke fix? McDonald's, I guess. Free samples with Pepsi......... never thought I'd see the day. Fountain drinks aren't as bad as 2L bottles, but still enough of a difference. I guess 7 Up vs Sprite is a bit more of a difference for those who are into the clear stuff. Someone over at Coca Cola dropped the ball. Although in the greater scheme of things, the Costco account isn't as big a deal as losing the McDonald's account........ now that will never happen as one owns the other, yes? Oh inb4 someone mentions the Pepsi taste challenge. I've done plenty of those...... and when you're batting 1000, pretty sure I got the taste thing down. I get the Pepsi people so upset when I say, "This one is Coke, because it tastes a helluva lot better," LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. My personal taste...... |
Yeah, I went to Costco for lunch yesterday too....disappoint. |
omg craving Costco poutine, hot dog, and chicken strips now :sweetjesus: |

Is there any way you can test whether a rotor is true without bringing it in somewhere? Posted via RS Mobile |

or turn it and see if there's any variance through brake pads/calipers <-------- bad engrish, so solly. Edit: are you getting vibrations when braking? It could be something else. |
Yeah I was there the day before Costco switched over to Pepsi. They lady taking the orders was asking if the order's "for here" or "to go" and was giving out red dixie cups instead of the regular white and red cups for coke for orders that were "for here". I asked her why and she said they're swtiching over to Pepsi so they need to manage the left over coke cups to last the whole day as they're the ones that the lids would fit. |
would be hilarious if they had some coke stuff still hooked up after the switch over. "Hey, this Pepsi stuff isn't half bad!" |

Thought it was the rear rotors as they were fairly old, changed em out with the pads, no difference The fronts were changed within a year but with Lordco's "premium performance" slotted/cross drilled rotors, the sales guy told me he could give me these "performance" rotors at the cost of the regular ones as they were "changing" Their performance ones...so I don't know I'm tempted to just change those out but also don't want to burn another $150 Posted via RS Mobile |
