Kal Tire was just being nice.

Broken wheel studs happen all the time and when parts break when doing regular maintenance / repairs most shops wouldn't eat the full cost of fixing it.

$80 = 1 hour labour = your car relatively easy.

My truck is 2 hours to re/re front hub and rotor to get at the wheel studs.

Hondaracer 01-17-2014 07:32 PM

the thing is that that fix would have taken 5 minutes with my wheel off and the truck on a hoist

after spending $1400 on Tires and a rotation 4 months ago i just found it pretty chincy to nickel and dime me over a quick fix, i know it's quick i did it myself before for 5 of them

Does anyone know where I can get a flat tire repaired in Surrey on a Sunday? Blew a flat and I have to get to work first thing on Monday morning and don't want to hit the highway with my spare.

Thanks

Any tire shop, most should be open today

I find that most shops are closed on Sundays. Smaller tire shops are closed Sun/Mon.

Best bet would probably be CT.

Probably discussed elsewhere, but I keep noticing that Chrysler cars' headlights go off when turn signal is turned on.

I researched it, and it's only on Chrysler cars built for Canadian domestic market. I started noticing it a few years back and thought nothing of it, but now I see it all the time.

Apparently other manufacturers have this feature, too.

It's bad enough with drivers not turning on their headlights at night.........

^ or chevy trucks/vans that have their reverse lights on after a driver turns off the car and pulls their key

Yup, I could never figure out that one, either. Drives me nuts, thinking person is backing up.

Some of the Audis do this as well, I think it's annoying to look at. And I agree with the Chevy tail lights as well - I'm always thinking the person put it in reverse. I always seem to get behind a Chevy truck on the ferries, too

I think the auto-turn off is only for DRL. (LED strips on Audis)

MG1 01-20-2014 04:34 AM

Yes, when I researched the topic, that's what it said. However, there are a lot of drivers out there who don't put their headlights on at night or just as bad, during dense fog. Newer Chrysler cars do this, but I wAnder if it's just DRL's.

The most recent vehicle I spotted with the headlight off during signal operation was a late model Jeep.

I bought some more LED bulbs off Ebay, i looked up the tracking number on canada post website and it says Delivered at 10:12 AM today. When i look that up on USPS website it says still in transit.

Problem is there was someone at home at that time and nobody rang the doorbell. I got home at noon picked up all my other mail and there was no parcel anywhere. No mail slip either to tell me to pick up at post office.

Did someone jack my bulbs? :lawl:

EDIT: Nevermind someone just threw it on my doorstep an hour ago. No clue what happened maybe delivered to wrong house and someone gave it back?

All depends on your budget. davidhtam here on RS is one. Looking at his work he does an excellent job if that's the style you're looking for. There's also mananetwork, but I haven't seen him post in the photography forum in a while.

Those are 2 guys I'm looking at for possibly doing my own wedding in just over a year.

ROFLMAO can't tell if srs

“Sex with Google Glass,” a new app for the wearable technology, lets you watch -- and record -- yourself having sex from all angles and even “see what your partner can see,” the app’s website claims. The app operates on command and works like this: Just say, “OK Glass, it’s time,” and Glass will stream to you and your partner what you each can see; when you’re ready to finish just say, “OK Glass, pull out.”

This is a crazy question, but

WHAT IS THE BROWN BUILDING on Terminal Avenue (across from the car wash + neighboring Larosa Foods) with a SKULL and CROSSBONES and HEART on it?

It's been bugging me forever! There are no details on it, windows are tinted, and no name at all.

Arghhhh!

Thanks in advance

fliptuner 01-24-2014 11:16 AM
