You're welcome - I only found out about the coupon yesterday afternoon; luckily Safeway has lots of eggs in stock , though the crates were almost empty in the first row. I wonder what the marketing/promo person at Safeway was thinking... the regular price for a dozen was $3.11 at my local store. The lowest I've seen locally, recently, was $1.99 at Shoppers a couple months ago. Even in the states, it's not this cheap, a $1.33/dozen. It's like a pre-Boxing day sale!

Definitely a good find.
BTW, I would stay away from US eggs. Fine if you cook with them, but raw, like Sukiyaki dip or other uses, it's a no go. Shoppers used to bring in US eggs. They have Canada Grade A eggs now.
Safeway on Broadway and Commercial ran out, but had some out back. They couldn't get to them last night, so they are honouring the coupons today. All they did was change the 15th to the 16th by changing the 5 to a 6, LOLOLOL. Not even a signature or a stamp, so if anyone else wants eggs at that price.......
I buy Born 3 Omega 3 eggs from Costco. 2, 18 packs for 6.99 IIRC. They have the yellowest yolks I've seen outside of buying from a farm and taste really good.

I love to drive........... any excuse.
Anyway, the other day, I bought eggs from No Frills. The yolk was freakingly dark yellow. Actually more like orange. Must be what they feed the chickens.
Born3 from Abbotsford - good stuff. I know the owners. Remember when they first started out. Yup, last name = Born.
I was actually planning on bringing up eggs in VLS soon..
Being vegetarian, I feel much better about including free range than factory farmed eggs in my diet, and therefore since moving out on my own five years ago that's all I've purchased. The yolks are more orange than yellow, the shells seem thick in comparison to other eggs and albumen (white) has a bit of colour as opposed to being nearly clear, of course, that all adds up to a better taste. I didn't actually recall how profound the difference was until a friend cooked me breakfast the other day using FF eggs.. The specific reasons for my dietary choices aside, I would only buy free range eggs because of the difference in taste..
I find the taste of free range eggs are way better and as well are better off for you. Before I didnt care but the EX got me hooked and for a little bit of extra cash I can't go back.
Anyone remember the Knowledge Network show Kid Zone which later became Kids at Kerrisdale/Kerrisdale High? I've been wanting to watch an old intro or an episode or anything for nostalgia's sake but nothing comes up. There are entries for the show on both Wikipedia and IMDB but that's all I could come up with.
The only real difference between free range and non free range is that the free range chickens eat whatever they come across. Whatever happens to be on the ground, they'll eat, be it food, seeds, dog shit, dead mice, etc. They also fight a lot and peck each others skin apart and eat that too. I can see how that would make the eggs and meat taste better too.
anyone know where the thread "guy dancing to LMFAO's "sexy and i know it" thread went? it got moved from the off-topic section and i just want to see the responses from my fellow RS'ers on it.
I grew up on a farm where we had free range eggs in abundance. There is nothing quite like the difference in taste between factory grown and processed, watered down crap and 100% free range from your own backyard eggs retrieved that morning.
In fact, one better was I had pet geese. She only laid for a certain amount of time each year, but you could have a one egg omelette that would fill your plate-after you wrestled the thing open.
I really miss farm fresh, produced by your own labor, straight from the backyard food. Hell, when we were fully up and running, the heat in the house would be from wood that we cut, split, stacked and stored ourselves, with 2 freezers full of a cow that we raised ourselves, a turkey that we raised from a chick on xmas that tasted like something not on this planet and for a few years mom would bake a lot of our own bread and do pickling in the fall.

That's completely incorrect, although diet is a factor, it's only one of many.

anyone know how to transfer songs from ipod touch to computer?
Got a virus and lost all my songs from computer..
enable view hidden folders under folder options and go through your ipod until you find a folder with 20-30 different folders. all your songs should be in those folders.
i don't have the old windows in which you can do that, if i try now it only goes from Computer -> ipod -> internal storage -> DCIM -> 800AAAA and those are where my pictures are, i can't find anywhere where it says enable hidden folders, i know what you're talking about but can't seem to find on the new windows ..
