I'm thinking of buying something online using paypal from someone in the states but I've never used paypal. I assume paypal is rather safe since it's widely popular. Anything to look for? Do I pay when they give me a shipping notice?

Pick a good password that's different from your other ones. Only time I screwed up with paypal was when I had it setup with 2 different bank accounts and I accidentally drew money from an empty bank account, got charged with overdraft from the bank.

As far as buying with paypal, very secure IMO. Paypal tends to side with buyers if there is ever a dispute. Remember, even if paypal doesn't side with you if there's a dispute, you can still call your credit card company and have them reverse the charges

You should be able to find all this online, but you pay right away, you have 45 days to start a dispute if you have any issues, only tie PP to your credit card (not your bank account) since your credit card can be backup in case PP fails you, NEVER EVER EVER pay someone as a "gift" to save them fees, for one it's against PP policy for them to ask you to do that and you are completely fucked if you gift the money and something goes wrong.

Also since I'm assuming you haven't ordered from the US before, if the product will be shipped across the border DO NOT let them ship UPS or you'll have a buttload of fees at your door.

Early this year, Rowden and Leizl decided to get married on July 8, 2014, Rowden's 30th birthday. Together with their adorable 2-year-old daughter, they already had a perfect family. Then a twist of fate, Rowden got diagnosed with stage IV liver cancer in late May. His last request was to marry his one true love. After 12hours of preparations, his dream was fulfilled. Unable to take him outside the hospital, we brought the church to him. It was like a heartbreaking fairytale. Rowden Go, at the age of 29-years-old, passed away on June 11, 2014. Less than 10 hours after he said his vows.

Prepping for a school interview for a trades program.. Wondering if it is acceptable to wear a dress shirt/dress pants/tie or would that be considered going overboard?

TOS'd 07-01-2014 08:07 AM

Always better to overdress than underdress.

If you're comfortable in it and it is who you are, then totally okay.

If it's making you uncomfortable and you feel you are not yourself, then it needs to go. Just don't look like a slob. Good posture, be alert, and be confident.

I'm at the new For Real supermarket. Just another T&T type supermarket. Not sure how long it will last. Vegetable section wasn't great and prices were, meh. Wide isles and bright. Perhaps their weekly deals are good. Their store motto is, "Try and you will never forget."

fliptuner 07-05-2014 02:12 PM

Where?

Speed2K 07-05-2014 02:19 PM

^Old Rona Building, on Sexsmith between Sea Island Way and Bridgeport Rd.

matrixfwd 07-05-2014 05:03 PM

The Richmond T&T will also be moving to across the Olympic Oval. Hope it won't bring traffic havoc to that relatively quiet part of Richmond. So many Asian Big Box supermarkets, wonder who will survive.

Not For Real. Prices were on the high side. I give them two years. They didn't even have Flip's sausages. Ice, I'm craving those sausages. Where?

lilaznviper 07-05-2014 05:24 PM

i went to that supermarket on canada day. prices were high. even price mart stuff is cheaper and i consider them expensive.

the sales were pretty decent though.

I saw those flip sausages at the supermarket. its super hidden though lol

MG1 07-05-2014 05:32 PM

Even if they were out in the open they're so small I would've missed them. Okay enough fun. What are they called? And no, not gonna call them flip cocktail weenies.

fliptuner 07-05-2014 05:41 PM

They're called longanisa but if you're at a Chinese place, you might be better off asking for
"filabun cheung" (flip sausages) :lol

Bulacan or Baguio brands are the better ones and get spicy (not spicy at all)

godwin 07-05-2014 06:39 PM

T&T / Weston will be fine.. honestly I think they are moving because they want to redevelop the whole mall into something higher density... Would be great for Richmond body shops if they make it like Parker place parking lot!

I think Real are Mainlander newcomers.. it seem to be a battle between old school Taiwanese / HK / Southern China 2nd Geners vs New immigrants with tons of cash.
