Since there were previously concerns about Iraq creating nuclear weapons it's unlikely they were given weapons grade uranium, more likely they were given reactor grade uranium which is completely different.

Also every article I've read from vice "news" has been just as full of bullshit as the major outlets, just from the opposite direction.

Again, the severity of a dirty bomb is another question entirely, any radioactive material can be used to make a dirty bomb, the quality of the radioactive material defines the severity.
