I"m surprised at the number of people driving around with a headlight burnt out, especially at this time of year where it's rainy and dark for a good portion of the day. Get you bulbs changed, it's not that hard to do. There's already enough bad drivers on the road, no need to make it any more dangerous out there.

One headlight burned out on my wife's MR2 Spyder 3-4 weeks ago but we didn't do anything about it... but last week, the other one burned out too. We were driving on Lougheed Highway when it seemed a little darker than usual. Driving with no headlights and no street lamps, not a great idea. We parked it after getting home until I changed the bulbs a few days later...
Nothing you can do, putting it to your TV's native resolution (i.e. recommended setting) will give the best picture quality to avoid scaling.

Just make sure the TV specs list it as 1080i/1080p rather than 720p
