What a bunch of asshats. I decided to Google them, and they are a number of reviews that talk about their scamming salesman and shadiness. Good luck with your dealings of them. Sounds like you'd just be yelling at a wall of apathetic stupidness. If you do get some results, please start a thread on it :)

That's why you take your garbage into their office and pour it on the floor at their reception and smile and say "since you keep on tossing your garbage into my can you can have it back" :)

I called them today. They put me on hold, then hung up on me.

Cocksuckers....it's not like my garbage can is even visible from my alley...the garbage can is behind a boat on a trailer....

take my advice I've heard it done before... Just make sure no bills or your address is in the garbage... That would be messy if they found out where you live lol

underscore 10-07-2014 09:29 PM

^ just do it with the bag they dumped into your bin.

"One of your trucks lost this, I figured you'd want it back" *dump*

Reminds me of a time when someone dumped their old luggage at my place. They forgot to remove their luggage tag, threw it back into their yard the same night.

My old neighbour once put a huge bag of garbage into our bin and then took it to the curb, we were confused at first since our bin had disappeared from the side of our house. Once I saw what had happened I took the bag out and dumped it at their front door. The stupid thing was if they would've asked first I wouldn't mind since there was room for it but since they just helped themselves they got a mess to clean up.

Anyone into model painting that wants some free paint?

I have some 10mL jars of Tamiya Acrylic Paint in:
* Black
* Blue
* Green
* Red
* Yellow

I bought them back in the day for Gundams, but never used them as far as I remember.

First to PM can take them for free.

EDIT: I also have a few small boxes of random commons for Magic the Gathering if anyone wants them. They're all from the Lorwyn block or around there. I can't remember the icons.

well i finall did get a hold of them.
the guy on the phone was going ape shit on the phone - not at me but at the driver of the truck....even though i had told him i didnt get the plate number or truck ID number, he acted like he knew who it was and was going to fire them...

AND towards the end of the conversation he had asked me if i had taken it out, taken photographs of it, and emptied the contents of the bag and photographed it for reference for them....i had the whole "are you fucking serious" laugh going on and just hung up. wasn't going to waste my time with him anymore.

worst company ever. they could've at least came by as a courtesy and emptied out my entire bin

Did Red Bull not have disclaimer?

I see those ads on TV for meds. The disclaimer at the end makes me never want to go within ten miles of a place that sells it.

Need help!

What's the best (re: cheapest) way to attach a small shelf/tray to my desk?

I want to attach a small piece of wood to my desk, beside my keyboard, to hold things like an external hard drive, USB's, etc. Nothing heavy.

Does not need to move, just be held in place relatively securely. Wood board itself will be from something like particle board, so light. Not big either, maybe 8" x 4" x 1/2"-ish.

Poorly drawn picture for reference..

Buy some cheap brackets from a hardware store.

An alternative to that is using a letter tray as a monitor stand.

I use the space under the monitor to put my Surface tablet.

It's probably easier and cheaper. Just make sure you get a quality letter tray that won't fold easily (mine does, but it was like from the dollar store).

It's to pull your credit file.
Your SIN is often used as a de-facto national identifying number to make it easy to quickly and uniquely identify you however you are not obliged to provide it.

They also can use a credit card number to ensure the file that is pulled it correct.

Service Canada - SIN Holders' Responsibilities
  • Never give out your SIN unless you are sure it is legally required or you are satisfied it is necessary.
  • You must provide your SIN to take part in some government programs and/or services. For example, the Canada Revenue Agency requires your SIN when you file your income tax, or when you apply for Employment Insurance (EI) or Canada Pension Plan (CPP)/ Quebec Pension Plan (QPP) benefits
  • In the private sector, you must provide your SIN to your employer for income tax and benefit purposes. You must also give it to financial institutions for accounts that pay interest
  • Except when required for government programs and services, it is your decision when to share your SIN information and with whom.

  • When are you NOT required by law to provide your SIN?
  • You do not have to give your SIN when you purchase or obtain most goods and services. You may be asked to provide your SIN for the following purposes, but you are not legally required to provide it when:
  • proving your identity (except for specific government programs)
  • completing an employment application (before you get a job offer)
  • completing an application to rent a property
  • completing applications for credit products (e.g. credit card, loan or mortgage) with a financial institution to facilitate a credit rating check
  • cashing a cheque
  • applying for a video club membership
  • completing some banking transactions (mortgages, lines of credit, loans)
  • completing medical questionnaires
  • renting a car
  • subscribing to long-distance or cellular telephone services
  • writing a will
  • applying to universities and colleges
  • negotiating a lease with a landlord
  • registering for supplemental health offered by your employer
  • communicating electronically, particularly online

BURNABY, B.C. – A candidate for mayor in Burnaby is raising eyebrows with a promise to ban kissing and holding hands in public.

Sylvia Gung is running for mayor for a second time, one of five candidates hoping to unseat Derek Corrigan of the Burnaby Citizens Association, who has been mayor of the Vancouver suburb since 2002.

In her unedited candidate profile posted on the City of Burnaby website, Gung says the current job of mayor in the city “allows nothing for the real job – establishing wholesome society.”

She proposes banning election campaigns, which she says will “restoring [sic] citizens the sense of responsibility.”

But perhaps the most controversial of Gung’s proposals are around the issue of public affection.

Gung promises “banning behaviors that hints sex/sexuality, even including Bridal Kiss and walking hand in hand, that hurt public decorum and lead to further violence.”
She told Global News Tuesday that gay and lesbian couples who are seen holding hands are especially at risk of violence.

“It shows the affection between two persons, but it also shows sexuality, and for someone who is strongly against gays and lesbians, they may follow them, and they could be stabbed and shot, and killed,” says Gung.

She says homophobic violence cannot be stopped due to tradition.

“We can’t stop that violence, because of the moral question. And the moral is set in people’s minds deeply, it’s tradition,” says Gung.

She also takes issue with the school board, saying she would “get rid of it,” and that it “as nothing but funnel to thwart its political agenda down the throat of the public education.”

Gung also promises to “innovating two backward organizations that are the unions and PAC’s.”

The civic election is set for Saturday, November 15. Advance voting begins November 1.
