Looking for a waterproof car cover. Any suggestions on brands and suppliers?

Thanks.

^ Custom Fit Car Covers and More - California Car Cover - Free Shipping

Various types. Noah is the one most people use - not top of the line. Expensive, but well worth the money.

Just changed the manual transmission fluid in the commuter car. Damn, no more double clutch to get that puppy into reverse. I hardly have to use the clutch, it just falls into place. I tried going through all four gears without using the clutch.......... I guess I don't know this car as much as I did the ol' 89 Civic Si. On that car, all five gears no problem. Managed second easily, third, not so much. fourth a bit of a struggle.

Power Shift, here we come............. a la Beach Boys tune, LOL. Get rubber in all four gears, NOT.

fliptuner 10-19-2014 09:55 PM

Lol. Why didn't u just bring the gear oil? Car was up anyways.

I like the Superweave but damn, $330USD.

MG1 10-19-2014 10:56 PM

Didn't have the MT fluid at the time. Just like I don't have the coolant that I need to do a flush, LOL. Fricken B 1, 3, and 5. Coolant flush is easy and fun......... love squeezing them hoses to get the air out.

Gold Digger is back on Z95.3.

Chick this morning stops at 300 bucks. WTF? It's the first one of the new season and she stops at 300 freaking dollars. It went up to over $2000.00.

I cannot for the life of me get through to the station for Z Effects, Gold Digger, 2 thousand dollar minute or any of the other contests. Oh wells........ that's my rant for the morning. Carry on.

Anyone do a class 5 road test at the new richmond lansdowne location? Kinda scared as it is in richmond with mainlanders and c-lais everywhere.

Not sure to take the TL or rent some driving instructor's car.

underscore 10-20-2014 04:15 PM

^ dodging idiots helped me get my class 5 as the tester was impressed with how I reacted to said idiots. So it might be in your favour to be tested in Richmond.

I used to have the same problem 15 years ago when I was working a warehouse job that played QMFM in the receiving area where the PC I worked on was. Never once did the phone even ring for Beat the Bank. I wanted to play that!

Oh well, free money is free money. Regardless of being up $300 or $2000, it's easy to say in hindsight.

Better to get something than nothing! :toot:

True, but every year, the first one of the season is always a good one. One year, it was ten or twelve thousand. I would have stopped at a thousand. Any other time, I set limit at $500.00, 'cause I'm a big chicken.

need to replace windshield wiper blades on the civic. Anyone recommend anything in particular? was reading reviews for products at Canadian Tire and they all seem to have shit reviews.

lordco has PIAA silicone wiper blades on sale right now. they are great wiper blades and have "lifetime" warranty. I got them for $15 each on account...

PiuYi 10-20-2014 08:31 PM

it's a 03. I didn't know you could do that. I guess the next question is, are inserts available for the particular blades for the civic at any lordco or canadian tire? I am just better off doing one over the other? the blades aren't broken, just leaves ridiculous streaks.

Galactic_Phantom 10-20-2014 08:48 PM

How much roughly would a new clutch set me back including parts and labour? I want to buy a beater on cl for $500 but it needs a new clutch. Its for a mk3 golf:concentrate:

I've got Bosch ones on the Jeep that work well but are starting to go, and the RainX ones on the Prelude that have worked well, they come with a wipe of RainX to put on the windshield which is awesome while it lasts, the rain just beads off.

If you're not too picky, grab whatever Costco have on sale. Those should last you at least 1-2 years.

Why do you think there aren't rubber inserts for an 03?
They are part numbers for them
76632-S5A-003
76622-S5A-003

To van_city23: make sure you check that your current wipers are the OEM ones with the flat metal piece. you can see the metal piece i'm talking about in the first 5 seconds of this video (The video isn't of a civic, but it should look similar.
