I sent something to a friend in Ontario -- they live in an apartment building.
I put the correct address + Apartment # on there, but it keeps saying "Out for Delivery --> Sent to recipient's new address"

It was supposed to be delivered tuesday -- Anyone know what's going on with this fuckery?

Image attached,

Not sureifyour package got delivered yet, but I had this happen once, turned out the shipper wrote the wrong postal code so CP had to figure out where I was

Also had 'out for delivery, no one answered' and 'adverse weather' delays but I had been home all day and the other time it was sunny... figured the postman was just lazy

Does anyone here know where to buy those silica gel packs? Or "desiccant". Tired of moisture building up inside my Civic and having to choose between warming my face + foggy windows or cold face + clear windows. Read somewhere that hiding silica gel packs throughout the car (such as door pockets, centre console area, etc. helps...

Home Depot should have some. I know US HD carries them.

Nevertheless, they are quite $$$. About U$10 each and it would probably last you less than a month. It's more economical to just turn on A/C.

But if your car doesn't have it, the only thing I'd suggest is a good no-lint towel or just good old paper towel.

Try dollar stores. They have these container type things that do the same thing. They look like a smaller tupperware container, and best of all, they're cheap. The ones I found were $2

I had to go to a couple different dollarstores to find them. So far it seems to be helping in my Civic. Tough to complain for $2 lol

Just a heads up about those moisture absorbers such as the Dri-Z-Air kits and the smaller ones you get from the dollar store. It's just calcium chloride. You can get a 20kg bag of the stuff from most hardware stores for $20-$25 vs $10 for 370g in pretty packaging. Plus, it works as an excellent ice melter.

When I put my cars in storage, I just get some small colanders from the dollar store, fill them with the pellets and place them in a plastic tub/drain pan to collect the liquid.

If you already have the DZA pot or dollarstore container, just dump the used stuff out, dry and refill. The small ones work great in door pockets cause they don't tip over.

Just to clarify for the dumb like me, so can I just buy calcium chloride in bulk and leave it in any open container in my car?

fliptuner 12-02-2014 07:03 PM

You want to put it in a container that has holes in it, like a colander, so the air (moisture) can get to it, then a drain pan under to collect the liquid. It doesn't have to be anything elaborate.

I used these from the dollar store (note - the colander sits an inch or so off the surface):

Oh and be careful to not spill the accumulated liquid in the car, as it's a pain in the ass to get dry.

Top 10 overrated cars that people mistake as fast. | KILL THE GOAT DOT COM

lol well..:heckno:

#4 Nissan Skyline and the Nissan GTR.

http://killthegoat.com/wp-content/up...01-300x167.jpg

Another piece of shit popularized by shitty Paul Walker movies. 276 horse power is garbage. These cars are known for being decent at going through a turn, yet they get raped by Subaru’s and Evo’s. Like everything else from Japan, these cars are mistakenly concidered “good, high quality cars”. If they were as good, or high quality as people make them out to be, I am sure they would cost more than $25,000 dollars. These cars are no fucking Bentley, no fucking Koenigsegg, no fucking Lamborghini. Even the most recent variation of the vehicle simply dubbed the “GTR” might be a lot of bang for your buck, but it is still overrated cheap shit that will age poorly. Some say “Name a better car for $100,000″. I say use your pathetic “$100,000″ as a down payment on a Koenigsegg Agera, and shit on a Nissan all day.

6o4__boi 12-03-2014 10:43 AM

Spoiler!

tl;dr: pretty much every car sucks except exotics.

was that article for real though? Or was it supposed to be a humor piece?

Godzira 12-03-2014 10:53 AM

No idea if its serious or not but I want to know what he drives and why he's so upset lol

but really...compared to a Koenigsegg these cars ARE garbage. so I'm not sure what he's trying to prove.

underscore 12-03-2014 01:31 PM

The Skyline GTR is an overhyped car for sure, but thinking that cars from Japan aren't "good, high quality cars" is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
