The Skyline GTR is an overhyped car for sure, but thinking that cars from Japan aren't "good, high quality cars" is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
I'm going to ignore the first part of that...
but talk about over hyped overpriced r34...
"A car driven by the late Paul Walker in Fast and Furious 4 has popped up for sale. And, as you'd expect, it's a monster.
It's one of nine Skylines used for the film, but is the only actual Skyline - the others, we're reliably informed, were all stunt cars fitted on VW Beetle chassis' with plastic bodies. Yep, that actually happened.
So, this Skyline then. Underneath the bonnet sits a twin-turbo 2.6-litre straight-six engine with a Turbonetics front mounted intercooler. This sends around 550bhp to all four wheels via a six-speed Getrag shifter. We're told that a simple software mod could see that power rocket up to over 1000bhp.
Then there's a whole suite of goodies to get your inner Max Power fiend excited: Nismo lowering springs, a custom roll cage, an ARC titanium strut tower bar, Volk racing wheels, a Rotora big brake conversion, a Nismo bumper and side skirts, no rear seats, a Momo Alcantara steering wheel, Nismo pedals and a custom head up display for a dash-mounted PC.
Oh, there's also a Nismo exhaust, many gauges, custom seats and a "40-page appraisal from a well known accredited appraisal company documenting the build and movie car history, indicating a value range between €750,000 and €5,000,000."
Yep - the car is estimated to sell for at least £600,000, but considering it's covered just 6,000km, we suspect it'll be significantly higher. Could it possibly reach the estimated upper range of that price tag of £4 million?
haha I dunnow they get A LOT of hate too it goes both ways. Everyone seems to think they're overrated but they weren't really overpriced until recently becoming legal in the states, a good friend of mine just sold his shitty 89 gtr with a few bolt ons for almost $20000 to a guy from Seattle.
but I've been a fangirl for a looong time and they do have a really cool story behind them, all of the little details that go into them and what they're capable of I think they deserve all the hype!!
it's my "unpopular car guy opinion"
Admission by donation.... not sure what would be appropriate...
I think $2-5 is appropriate for the owl show personally.
Spoiler!

What's up the writers ass? Man, is he rustled or what? Haha!
"Your front wheel drive, four cylinder, gas sipping, torque-less piece of shit, was never intended to be a race car. Please just stop. They handle like piss, they sound like an asshole that has been gaped so bad it can no longer hold water, and they look cheap as fuck. There is nothing special about vtec. Chances are if you build one of these cars, or think they are awesome you are juvenile as fuck, and can’t afford a real car. These mass produced piles of shit on wheels are good for two things. Annoying your neighbors at 3am and sending to the junk yard."
So let me get this straight. The Integra Type R was never made to be a race car? Hmmmm...... And it handles like piss? Hmmmmmm..........I guess the award for best handling FWD car of all time from numerous editors has been a huge joke this whole time. Argh! I've been duped. Time to stop passing P-cars on the track and just ditch my ITR
That guy can suck a bag of dicks - he obviously hasn't seen the WTCC Civics - and the general concept that you can setup & drive a FF car to maximize its drivetrain and weight distribution.

There's been a man standing outside my work since 1:30pm today. (it's now almost 5:00pm)
He has a bag full of stuff in one hand and he's been staring at the exact same spot for over 3 hours now. At around 2:45 he wet himself. People walk past him, bump shoulders and he doesn't even flinch. A few managers went out to talk to him to see if he's okay and one of them brought him a coffee and something to eat, he just kept staring at the ground. A co worker called the non emergency line and after about 40 minutes a cop showed up, talked to the guy for 20 minutes then left.. about 10 minutes later a group of people from a mentally challenged institute showed up, talked to him for 15 minutes and they all left him standing there staring at the ground... its dark now and probably really cold.
