It looked like a few cars had already run over the 5 to 10 inch pieces that were all over the road.

I know all the major tire stores are signed up to the BC tire recycling stewardship and you can drop your tires off at their stores as for oils etch I'm not sure but you can look it up here on where you can recycle them

Any place that sells motor oil/fluids legally has to take them back, that said usually places with auto service centers (Canadian Tire, Walmart, etc) are better equipped to take them.

Reason I asked is cause CT has a spot where you can leave oil and coolant but has a sign that states they don't take paint.

So a lady from BC Cancer Foundation just knocked on my door asking for donation. I respectfully declined and said I am not in a position to donate today. She doesn't just walk away but says I hope cancer doesn't touch your life.

I should've responded but I shrugged it off. Reflecting back, am I too sensitive thinking she just indirectly cursed me or did she just do it to make me feel guilty? I thought it was pretty classless.

Last time I saw something so PA was when some girl in front of me at Milano coffee grabbed the coffee lids and purposefully knocked the entire stack over because she was tired of waiting behind a few slow people. Totally did it on purpose just to show how pissy she was. Vancouver is very passive-aggressive. If you notice these sorts of things you'll find people all the time do things like let doors slam in other people's faces, brake check people while driving allllll the time, and generally take the opportunity to give people backhanded compliments and other snide remarks.
