I should've responded but I shrugged it off. Reflecting back, am I too sensitive thinking she just indirectly cursed me or did she just do it to make me feel guilty? I thought it was pretty classless.

Holy fuck, classic Vancouver passive-aggressive!

Last time I saw something so PA was when some girl in front of me at Milano coffee grabbed the coffee lids and purposefully knocked the entire stack over because she was tired of waiting behind a few slow people. Totally did it on purpose just to show how pissy she was. Vancouver is very passive-aggressive. If you notice these sorts of things you'll find people all the time do things like let doors slam in other people's faces, brake check people while driving allllll the time, and generally take the opportunity to give people backhanded compliments and other snide remarks.

"I hope cancer doesn't touch your life." Wow! That is cold as fuck!

I didn't want to stir up any controversy or cause any disturbance to my neighbors with a shouting match because of what she said. I didn't like it of course but I'm sure I wasn't the first one she's said it to.

It sucks because I'm all about donating to foundations and raising money for awareness or cure. I have donated to the Variety Club and BCCHF many years. This won't deter me from donating but it does put the BC Cancer Foundation on a bad light if these are the ambassadors representing them.

Don't need digital keypad or whatever, just old school lock and key. Schlage B60?

Realistically your door frame will break before any deadbolt you could buy these days.

I'm pretty sure she doesn't actually work for the BC Cancer Foundation, generally that stuff gets farmed out to another company. Maybe ring up BCCF and let them know you don't like how she responded.

FYI this is the company that is contracted to do this kind of thing, in case you were so inclined to leave them a message: http://donordirect.ca/

She has one of the biggest at YVR 60kg of opium in a block of granite a couple years back

Hondaracer 12-19-2014 10:42 AM

If she's going on about exact amounts and having people post the info on forums she probably won't be around for too long anyways.

hchang 12-19-2014 10:42 AM

Why would that be a bad thing

6o4__boi 12-19-2014 10:42 AM

I dunno why it should matter. Is it intimidating?

That's not the bust that matters lol.

Depends if you are into breasts or not. Some people like ass, legs, etc.

Wait, what kind of bust are we talking about? :troll:

Know two border services people, one land border customs officer and one in immigration and both won't even speak what goes on in training or their procedures. Written into their contracts. Even with their S/O's they don't talk about work. So it's probably not too smart to speak to drug busts

I do see it all the time, I can understand slowing down to be cautious if accident is on same road or narrow road..

7 year-old girl dies on hike.

Quote:

SQUAMISH (NEWS1130)- RCMP are confirming the death of a 7-year-old girl on Unnecessary Mountain in Lions Bay.

Martin Colwell with Lions Bay Search and Rescue says they received a report around 10 a.m. Monday of a young girl struck in a rock slide above Lions Bay.

“It was a large family local hiking group in the area. It appears that the girl was on a slope beside a creek not particularly large but the slope just gave away, probably because of heavy rain and she was essentially struck and buried by a fair amount of boulders and dirt. They tried to dig her out with some success but unfortunately she was quite seriously injured and succumbed to those injuries, despite CPR and the rescue team coming in and using advanced paramedic techniques.”

Colwell called it a great tragedy for everybody in this neighborhood.

It believed the family is from the general area.

I'm sorry for all the people that have had tragedies occur so close to Christmas.
